Popular podcaster Joe Rogan has withdrawn his ostensible endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., apparently because of the backlash.
On Thursday's episode of his podcast, Rogan appeared to support RFK.
“He's the only one that makes sense to me,” Rogan said of the independent presidential candidate. “It's the only one.”
“He doesn't attack people, he attacks actions and ideas. But he's much more reasonable and intelligent. I mean, the guy was an environmental lawyer and he cleaned up the East River. He's a legitimate man,” he added.

From one “legit” guy to another, thanks @JoeRogan to always put substance first.

Many critics, including former President Donald Trump, interpreted Rogan's words as an endorsement of RFK, and they didn't like that.
“Will be interesting to see how hard Joe Rogan gets ABUCHET the next time he steps into the UFC Ring???MAGA2024,” Trump wrote on Truth Social the next day.
Meanwhile, thousands of avid Trump fans began attacking, denigrating and insulting Rogan.
Here is a small sample of the reaction (*Language notice):
Joe Rogan = intellectual immaturity on parade.

Just when you think Joe Rogan is going to leave Planet Moron for good, he turns around and jumps back in.

Can we all stop riding Joe Rogan finally? Endorsing RFK jr was the last straw. And his Netflix show was lame.

Can we realize that Joe Rogan is a jerk now? If you support rfk jr you are a fucking 9/11 conspiracy theory idiot

Fast forward to Friday afternoon, when Rogan posted a tweet clarifying his remarks about RFK.
“For the record, this is not an endorsement,” he said of his statements. “That's me saying I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things civilly and intelligently. I think we could use more of that in this world.”
“I also think Trump raises his fist and says 'fight!' after getting shot is one of the most American things ever. I'm not the type to get that from a comic. He actually knows what he's talking about.” .

Unfortunately, even this mea culpa wasn't enough for some of Trump's most die-hard fans. The kind of fans some critics say suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) in reverse.
“Looks like you just realized that most of your listeners are Trump supporters. Maybe you should support them as much as they support you,” one Trump supporter tweeted at Rogan.
“Get some balls and support Trump. End of discussion,” added another.
But critics like popular commentator Tim Pool say that behavior is very antithetical to Trump's right.
“I want Trump to win,” he tweeted on Friday. “You will not change things by denying reality or insulting the moderates. Let go of your egos.”

“No real argument against voting for Trump, but f*ck some of these hard-wizards are as destructive as lefties,” he added in an additional tweet, targeting all the Trump supporters they've been needlessly attacking to Rogan. and their fans.
Pool also tried to explain why an endorsement from Rogan has been so elusive.
“There's a reason they can't get an endorsement from Rogan and it's exactly this behavior,” he wrote. “The best podcast, markedly independent, fair and honest. And they decide to go to war with them instead of trying to ally with them.”
Is Pool right?
