Jim Jordan Speaks Out On John Brennan’s Closed Door Testimony

On May 20th, former CIA director John Brennan testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee regarding a letter signed by 51 current and former intelligence officials which claimed that emails obtained from Hunter Biden’s laptop were part of a Russian disinformation campaign. According to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, Brennan confirmed in his testimony that the letter was “all political.” This revelation further confirms suspicions that the letter was orchestrated for political gain and not based on any actual concern for national security.

The Hunter Biden laptop scandal broke just weeks before the 2020 presidential election, and it quickly became a major news story. The laptop was allegedly abandoned at a computer repair shop in Delaware and was then reportedly turned over to the FBI. An investigation by the New York Post revealed that the laptop contained emails that suggested Hunter Biden had used his father’s position as vice-president to advance his business interests in Ukraine and China.

The allegations in these emails represented a significant threat to the Biden campaign, which was already facing scrutiny for allegations of corruption and nepotism. To counter these allegations, former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell organized a letter signed by 51 current and former intelligence officials, including Brennan and four other former CIA directors, which claimed that the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

But recent revelations suggest that the letter was far from an independent, nonpartisan effort. In fact, it was the Biden campaign that prompted the creation of the letter. Morell, who was identified as a potential CIA director under Biden, told the House Judiciary Committee that Antony Blinken, now Secretary of State, was the senior campaign official who reached out to him “on or before” Oct. 17, 2020, just three days after the Post published an email from the laptop suggesting Hunter had introduced his Ukrainian business partner to his father.

Morell testified that he organized the letter to “help Vice President Biden… because I wanted him to win the election.” This admission raises serious questions about the motivations behind the letter and the objectivity of the intelligence officials who signed it.

According to Jordan, Brennan’s testimony confirmed that the letter was “all political.” This suggests that the letter was not based on any actual intelligence or concern for national security but was instead an attempt to protect the Biden campaign from damaging allegations. It also calls into question the credibility of the intelligence officials who signed the letter and their ability to act impartially in matters of national security.

The revelation that the letter was a political ploy orchestrated by the Biden campaign is just the latest development in a long line of controversies surrounding Hunter Biden’s laptop. The laptop has been at the center of allegations of influence peddling, corruption, and even blackmail, and its contents have raised serious concerns about national security.

Despite these serious allegations, the mainstream media largely ignored the story and attempted to downplay its significance. Some media outlets even went as far as to claim that the story was Russian disinformation, a claim that has been thoroughly debunked.

The mainstream media’s lack of coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop story highlights the continuing problem of media bias. Media outlets have a responsibility to report the truth and to hold those in power accountable, but too often, they fail to do so. By ignoring the Hunter Biden laptop story, the media failed in their duty to inform the public and ensure that our government is held accountable for its actions.

The revelations about the political nature of the letter signed by intelligence officials raise serious questions about the credibility of our intelligence community. Our intelligence agencies are supposed to act impartially and without political bias, but these revelations suggest that this may not always be the case.

As citizens, we must demand transparency and accountability from our government and our intelligence community. We must also hold the media accountable for their failures to report the truth. Only by staying informed and engaged can we ensure that our democracy remains strong and vibrant.
