Jewish students at the University of Pennsylvania live in fear due to threats from pro-Palestinian fanatics.
Talking to him New publicationStudent Claudia Tawil, 19, said the atmosphere on campus has been “really scary” and that she and other Jewish students have been relentlessly harassed and subjected to genocidal, pro-Hamas slurs and chants like this: “There is only one solution: the resolution of the Intifada.”
According to Tawil, this chant echoes the rhetoric of the late dictator Adolf Hitler.
“It basically means they want to wipe us out. There was also a rally where I was in class and I heard ‘Free Palestine, Hamas Hamas Hamas’ outside. I was in class and I couldn’t concentrate,” he told the Post.
“A terrorist organization that rapes women, decapitates babies and burns them in ovens is not something anyone should support. Israelis do not support oppression and we do not support the death of either side.” added.
A UPenn student is seen talking fondly about the “joyful” images of slaughtered Israelis on “glorious October 7th.”
He felt “happy” to hear the news of the dead Jews in Israel.

The hate has not been limited to chants. Pro-Palestinian fanatics have also scrawled anti-Jewish messages on doors and walls, including one reading “Jews and Nazis” and another reading “Israel is an apartheid state”.
But it gets worse.
“Penn students also report that many Penn professors have also made anti-Semitic and pro-Hamas statements in the classroom and on social media,” the Brandeis Center announced in a letter sent last week to federal civil rights officials.
“Penn students report feelings of intense distress and fears for their safety as the rallies continue and as their professors continue to show their support for Hamas,” the letter continues.
All of this comes days after pro-Palestinian fanatics chanted “heinous anti-Semitic slogans” at campus buildings earlier this week, according to the Post.
“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” read one message.
“Zionism is racism,” said another.
“Penn funds Palestinian genocide,” added another.

UPenn President Liz Magill denounced the vandalism in a statement issued Thursday.
“Vile and anti-Semitic messages were projected onto several buildings on campus last night, including in Penn Commons, Huntsman Hall, and Irvine Auditorium. Penn Police were notified and responded quickly, and a full investigation is currently underway . We will pursue this matter to the fullest extent and take prompt action in accordance with our policies,” he said.
“For generations, too many people have masked anti-Semitism with hostile rhetoric. These reprehensible messages are an assault on our values and cause pain and fear in our Jewish community. Penn has a long and rich history of robust debate on complicated issues in the day. Projecting messages of hate on our campus is not debate, it’s cowardice and has no place at Penn,” he added.

Anti-Semitism at UPenn has reportedly become so problematic that the Brandeis Center has filed a civil rights complaint against the school.
“Penn has allowed its campus to become a hostile environment for its Jewish students, as well as a magnet for anti-Semites,” the complaint says.
In a statement to the Post, Brandeis Center founder and president Kenneth L. Marcus said schools like UPenn “have failed to keep Jewish students safe and are clearly violating well-established federal civil rights law.”
“There’s been a lot of talk about eliminating anti-Semitism from campuses, and it’s time to hold these colleges to account,” he added.
The complaint against UPenn seeks “immediate and specific action to address the growing discrimination and harassment of Jews in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,” according to a separate Brandeis statement.
Meanwhile, on Monday of this week, a couple of UPenn employees received threatening emails filled with anti-Semitic rhetoric.
“Today, I learned that a small number of Penn staff members received vile and disturbing anti-Semitic emails threatening violence against members of our Jewish community, specifically naming Penn Hillel and Lauder College House,” Magill said in a statement.
“These messages also included hateful language, targeting the personal identities of the recipients. Penn’s Division of Public Safety was immediately notified and responded. Penn police also notified the FBI of this possible hate crime and s ‘is conducting a joint investigation,’ he added.
