The Department of Justice has charged Dr. Gal Luft, an Israeli academic and key whistleblower in the Biden investigation, who was reportedly “missing” for several weeks.
The development comes just days after Luft released a video accusing the Biden family of accepting bribes and helping the Chinese government, raising questions about retaliation against whistleblowers. Dr. Gal Luft was a former business associate of Hunter Biden.
Luft faces charges of failing to register as a foreign agent while allegedly working to promote China’s interests in the US. The eight-count indictment also includes allegations of arms trafficking, violating Iranian sanctions and making false statements to federal agents.
US Attorney Damian Williams stated: “As alleged, Gal Luft, a dual US-Israeli citizen and co-leader of a Maryland-based think tank, engaged in multiple and serious criminal activities .He circumvented US foreign agent registration laws to promote Chinese policies through a former high-ranking US government official;acted as a broker for Iranian oil and arms deals; and lied about his activities to law enforcement.”

The indictment alleges that Luft conspired with others to promote China’s interests in the US without properly registering as foreign agents. Luft and a co-conspirator allegedly produced a written “dialogue” between a former US government official and a Chinese national, the dialogue was later published in an online Chinese newspaper. Additionally, Luft and the co-conspirator are said to have discussed possible roles this official could play in the incoming US administration and the potential for a “quiet trip” to China.
According to Israeli international civil and criminal rights lawyer Mordechai Tzivin, who represents Luft, his client has information that would “bury” Hunter Biden and “deflect attention to the president himself.”
Last week, Luft uploaded a video from an unidentified location, claiming his arrest was an effort to avoid his scheduled testimony before the House Oversight Committee. In the video, he accuses the Biden family of accepting payments from figures connected to Chinese military intelligence and claims they had an informant inside the FBI who shared classified information with their clients at the Chinese-controlled energy company CEFC .
The self-identified whistleblower claims he gave the damaging evidence to six FBI and Justice Department officials during a confidential meeting in Brussels in March 2019, but claims it was later suppressed.
Expressing his frustration, Luft, who voluntarily alerted the US government to a possible security breach, now feels persecuted by the very people he alerted, possibly having to spend his life in hiding.
“I, who volunteered to inform the US government of a possible security breach and compromised information about a man running to be the next president, am now being persecuted by the very people I informed, and I may have to live on the run. for the rest of my life on the run…”
Despite not having a political agenda, he felt compelled to act out of concern that if the Bidens took power, the country could face a scandal similar to the Russia collusion controversy, but this time with the china Sadly, he believes this occurred due to an alleged cover-up by the DOJ.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer told Newsmax that Luft was in discussions with the committee and would soon testify. Comer described Luft as “highly credible” and noted that “this is a credible witness that the FBI flew to Brussels to interview and sent multiple agents to interview them. This is someone who knew about CEFC in detail long before the laptop was made public.”
So it appears that MSNBC is trying to get ahead of Luft’s testimony, in case, as Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) argued, she was “granted immunity” to appear before the committee. And for good measure, the former Democratic press secretary appears with a Democratic congressman to smear the House Oversight Chair in the investigation. It’s a classic “attack the messenger” strategy, and there’s evidence that it doesn’t work.
According to a recent online poll, I&I/TIPP, 56% of respondents expressed their belief that President Biden likely accepted bribes from entities linked to China, Russia and Ukraine. Instead, 27% considered it unlikely. This is a two-to-one ratio of believers to non-believers regarding the Biden bribery allegations.
The poll spells trouble for the White House as it reveals widespread skepticism among voters about Democratic denials of wrongdoing. A breakdown of the numbers shows an almost even split among Democrats: 39% say it’s likely, while 42% say it’s unlikely.
Among Republicans, a staggering 80% believe the allegations are true, and only 9% think it’s unlikely. Independents align more closely with overall sentiment, with 56% leaning toward likely and 22% toward unlikely. Voters across the spectrum appear to be with the Democratic Party on the credibility of Biden’s corruption allegations. Whether this significantly affects the presidential race remains to be seen.
