In a recent CNN segment, JD Vance took aim at Tim Walz for allegations of misleading statements about his military service, while criticizing Kamala Harris for avoiding discussions of pressing political issues.

Addressing the controversy surrounding Tim Walz, Vance stated, “I honor his service and I have never criticized what Tim Walz did when he was in the military. I criticized his decision to retire, and most importantly, Dana, I criticized his lie about his own record. Okay, this is a guy who was caught on video saying he carried a gun to war. He never went to war.”

Vance continued, “This is a guy who's been caught on video like other people say. He's an Afghanistan veteran. He's a war veteran. He's nodding his head in agreement instead of saying , no, I did serve my country, and I did it honorably, but I never went to a war zone. I'm criticizing the fact that he lied about his service for gain political benefits. Now I served in the United States Marine Corps, and you know, there are many things I'm proud of. I've never lied about what I did, because I would beneficial to the election. I think that's what Tim Walz did. And yes, I think it's outrageous behavior.”

In a separate segment, Vance expressed his frustration with media coverage, particularly focusing on Kamala Harris' reluctance to engage in political debates. “You have now asked me three questions about comments I made three years ago. I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that she supported policies that open the American southern border. I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that she lied to the American people.”

Vance continued, “You're interviewing me, Dana, because I respect the American people enough to sit down for an interview. Kamala Harris has been the nominee for three weeks. She hasn't sat down for an actual interview. But the the point is, you have 15 minutes, or however long you have me, we should be talking about public policy that matters. How are we going to bring down the cost of food and housing? Southern border? We've talked a lot more about a sarcastic comment I made three years ago. I think we should talk about the issues that concern most Americans.”
