On “Fox News Sunday,” Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, bluntly criticized Kamala Harris' approach to managing inflation, drawing an analogy with dead sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Vance argued that Harris' involvement in inflationary policy is as misguided as putting Epstein in charge of human trafficking regulations.
Vance's remarks came amid a shift in polling dynamics, where Harris has gained traction as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

Despite this, Vance maintains that Harris' proposals, which he describes as failed policies “more of the same,” will not convince voters of a fresh start.
“First, the polls tend to radically overstate the Democrats. We certainly saw that during the summer of 2020 and the summer of 2016, and many of those polls were inaccurate on Election Day,” Vance said during his appearance.
He added that internal data suggests that Harris's recent surge in popularity has already leveled off.
The senator expressed skepticism about Harris' ability to effectively address inflation, citing her three-and-a-half years as vice president and continued public disapproval of the Joe Biden administration.
Vance noted, “If you talk to insiders in the Kamala Harris campaign, they are very concerned about where they are because the American people just don't accept the idea that Kamala Harris, who has been vice president for three and a half years. , d “he will somehow address the inflation crisis tomorrow in a way he hasn't in the last 1,300 days.”
Vance's comparison drew criticism from some quarters, but he emphasized his belief that Harris represents a continuation of failed policies rather than new direction. “Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy,” Vance argued, “is like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy. The American people are much smarter than that. They don't understand the idea that Kamala Harris represents a new beginning. She is more of the same.”

The criticism follows Harris' recent economic proposals presented in a speech in North Carolina, which have faced backlash from commentators who see them as unrealistic.
Those proposals include a federal ban on “corporate price gouging” at food and grocery stores. Despite these criticisms and the absence of a comprehensive policy platform on her campaign website, Harris is reportedly leading former President Donald Trump in the polls.
According to the latest ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos surveyHarris has a six-point lead over Trump, with 51 percent of likely voters supporting him compared to Trump's 45 percent. Among registered voters, Harris' lead narrows to 49 percent to Trump's 45 percent.
However, the same poll indicates that voters remain skeptical of Harris on key issues such as the economy, inflation and immigration. Trump leads Harris by nine points on managing the economy and inflation and by ten points on managing the US-Mexico border.
