Republican Sen. JD Vance of Ohio criticized Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday during a campaign stop in Eau Claire, Wis., where she stopped in front of Air Force Two to speak to reporters.
Harris selected Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota was her running mate on Tuesday, and the two celebrated one concentration Wednesday in town. Vance, who was also in the city for a campaign event, he approached the press on the tarmac and referenced the recent absence of the Vice President interviews since he became the presumptive candidate.

“I wanted to get a good look at the plane because hopefully it will be my plane in a few months, but I also thought you might be on your own because the vice president doesn't answer reporters' questions and hasn't. 17 days” , Vance told the assembled reporters. “Do you have an explanation for why he won't take questions from reporters?”
“Well, I hope he changes his mind because it would be good for the American people and I think it would be good for all of you if he actually ran a real campaign instead of one from his basement with a teleprompter,” Vance replied .
Harris did it to talk shortly after she and Biden greeted the Americans who were detained by Russia released in a prisoner exchange on August 1.

Harris leads former President Donald Trump by 0.5% in a national head-to-head matchup. seconds in the Real Clear Polling average from July 22 to August 4. The vice president increases his lead to 0.6% when Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein and independent presidential candidates Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are included in the surveys.
