James Carville reveals he fantasizes about Trump suffering

Democratic strategist James Carville revealed Thursday that he fantasizes about former President Donald Trump being miserable and that makes him feel good.

trump chosen Ohio Republican Senator JD Vance will be his running mate after his son Donald Trump Jr. strongly advocated for their selection. Carville suggested that he believes Trump is unhappy that he chose Vance, prompting the Democratic strategist to reveal his fantasies about the former president's anger, particularly toward his son, during an episode of his “Political War Room“podcast.

LISTEN:

“I must tell you, I take incredible pleasure in his misery,” said Carville. “I fantasize about how he's throwing shit at the walls and ketchups and plates. And yelling at Don Jr. and yelling at everybody. It makes me feel so good. It's a certain peace that I have.”

“I'm with you on that,” Carville co-host Al Hunt he replied as Carville laughed.

In 2016, Vance called himself a “never Trump guy” and called the future president's policies “absurd.” However, Vance's perception of Trump was transformed and he endorsed the Republican presidential nominee in 2020.

Vance issued a formal apology in 2021 for his earlier comments about Trump, saying he had been a good president. Trump endorsed Vance during his 2022 Senate bid after the pair met at Mar-a-Lago.

After Trump survived the attempt on his life at a rally in Pennsylvania where a bullet grazing his boss, Carville criticized the belief of supporters of the former president that God was shielding him.

“So I've talked about this show many times, and I thought that Trump was seen by his supporters as a theological figure, not a secular figure. And of course, that he's an inch away from having his head blown off it's, to them, more proof that they were right, that God is protecting him,” Carville said. “He sent it. . . . Do I think it's all horseshit? Of course . . . Do I think it's a perversion of everything you can think of? Yes. Of course . . . but to them, this is just a more proof that God sent here.
