Democratic strategist James Carville on Wednesday was outraged that conservatives criticized vice presidential candidate and Minnesota governor Tim Walz's policy of requiring tampons in school bathrooms.
Walz in 2023 signed a invoice require tampons to be provided in school bathrooms for students in grades four through twelve, without specifying gender. Carville, the “James Carville explains,” he specifically pointed to Fox News host Jesse Watters, who did he called Walz “Tampon Tim” and said it's a problem to give boys tampons.

“I have a message for Jesse and the whole freak show… Why don't you take a tampon and stick it up your ass? Because that's where it goes, in your ass,” Carville said. “Or maybe you could put it in your mouth. Maybe you could take a used one and stick it in your mouth and suck, because that's what you do: suck.”
Former President Trump's campaign and other conservatives have also criticized Walz for the policy, The Hill reported reported.
“As a woman, I believe there is no greater threat to our health than leaders who support gender reassignment surgeries for young minors, who support putting tampons in men's bathrooms in schools public records,” said Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt. said on Fox News Tuesday.
Waltz too signed the “Trans Refuge Bill” in 2023 that allowed the state of Minnesota to make custody decisions if a child does not have access to sex reassignment procedures.
Carvilleduring a Thursday podcastsaid he doesn't think criticism of Walz's transgender policy is effective.
“I think this issue is losing its juice. What is the trans haven? I mean, I know Jesse Watters is big on tampons in kids' bathrooms,” she said. “I don't think there is much speed left in this field. I think it's one of those things that has come and gone, and I think they're going to try it, but for some reason, I don't really like that.”
