ESPN host Stephen A. Smith blasted fellow sports commentator Jason Whitlock as a “fat stick” on Tuesday.
The stunning attack came four days after Whitlock wrote a column for TheBlaze insinuating that Smith is a fraud who only earned his high position in the sports industry by promoting the talking points of the rich and powerful
“Stephen A. Smith is the Kevin Hart of sports media,” he wrote. “Smith is a plant. Disney and ESPN installed Smith at the helm of sports media because his inadequacies as a reporter make him easy to control.”
“When you don't win a position, your loyalty goes to the managers who installed you. It's why Harvard chose Claudine Gay, why Joe Biden chose Ketanji Brown-Jackson and Kamala Harris, and why the music industry celebrates rap and talentless hacks willing to rhyme with the N-word every 10 seconds and show off the color and flexibility of your booty. and other private ones”, he added.

Whitlock went on to accuse Smith's 2023 memoir, Straight Shooter, of being a “sham”.
“Smith's story doesn't add up,” he wrote before detailing 15 alleged lies contained in the book. “Smith's memoir raises far more questions than answers about how he became a major sports media personality.”
Now fast forward to Tuesday, when Smith first responded to Whitlock during an appearance on ESPN's “First Take.”
“There are people out there lying and saying I didn't write my book,” he initially said. “I can assure you, so help my God, I wrote my book. It is my memoir. It is the story of my life.”

But Smith wasn't done.
“I want to remind the world that this is Stephen A. Baby, I'm not running from anybody,” she continued. “And if someone misquotes me, I'll usually make an effort to clear things up. Now there are some people … who deserve to be ignored.”
“There are people in the media… fat bastards, to be specific — who are completely irrelevant and starving for attention because they only have clicks left because their credibility has been shattered all over the place. And these people are left to deal with another day,” he added.

Later Wednesday evening, on his own self-titled podcast, “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” he came at Whitlock once again for nearly an entire hour.
“Jason Whitlock, I said that name,” he began. “It's not a name I've spoken. I usually don't, but I have to now. I've had enough fat bastard, that piece of shit.”
“And I want to make sure that before I go to break, I want somebody out there to watch me, anybody that knows me, anybody out there, no matter what you think of me, I want you to remember that I'm never talking to him. I never talk about my teammates. I don't do that. That's the first, but it's necessary.”
Listen:
Before beginning her hour-long rant, she added that she had called her pastor and her bosses at ESPN before making the decision to devote an episode of her show to her beef with Whitlock.
“I literally called my pastor and asked him for forgiveness and understanding in advance because he won't recognize the person he's about to listen to,” she explained. “I did the same thing when I emailed the heads of ESPN.”
“This is my podcast. I own and run this. I want what I want on this podcast; but it doesn't mean I don't still have a responsibility to at least notify my employers during the day about what I'm about to do. It's time for me to address this. I'm only going to do it once because this bastard is worth less than a damn cockroach. He wanted my attention. He's got it,” he added.
Listen to the full hour-long program below:
Whitlock responded to the rant with a short and snappy tweet.
“I knew Stephen A was limited. I didn't know he was this limited. I'm starting to feel sorry for him. I hit a baby seal,” she tweeted Wednesday evening.
