“I need this message to go to our vice president who is running for president. I've heard all over social media about, forgive me if I'm saying something wrong, immigrants getting loans, money,” he said. “It was hard to believe, just really hard to believe.”

“I've been in business a long time. In 2019, I bought my first food truck. It cost me over $25,000, I paid for it in cash. I worked hard to pay for this truck,” he continued , the emotion evident in his voice. “Now I sell it. I'm doing other things, but I'm selling it. I had a guy come over to look at my vehicle purchase, my food truck, and he explained that I was an illegal immigrant. He has no credit, no money in the bank. But he showed me his paperwork that he will receive funds to buy my food truck. I'm grateful that he buys it, but it hurts that I worked so hard to pay cash for my food truck.”

“I have good credit, I can't even get a business loan because of the color of my skin. I have veterans in my family, I am a veteran. I have been self-employed for so long”, says the woman without holding back her tears. “But somebody, please tell me how I work so hard to get someone to come to this country, not long, with no credit, and show me the paperwork where they're going to finance money to buy my food truck. And when I spoke with this bank they told me that normally they had to go directly to a dealer, because you know I'm a private sale, but special circumstances, you know, allow it”.

“But I need my president to tell me why I've worked so hard all these years, all these decades, I couldn't get a business loan, but I busted my ass to get the money to build my business,” she snapped. “And we have immigrants who come here and receive money, MONEY, for doing nothing but being here. It's not right, and I want answers.”

X users showed sympathy for the woman, which echoes many of the same sentiments that others in this country express every day:
