“It's a total disgrace to justice”

-

Elon Musk's fight for free speech took a turn in Brazil as alleged “illegal” demands of a “total disgrace to justice” forced the tech entrepreneur's hand.

All over the world, totalitarian globalists have demonstrated their uncompromising quest to control the flow of information and dictate which opinions are allowed. Musk's free-speech absolutism has been routinely tested by such dictates, and on Saturday he proved unwavering in his stated goals when threats from Brazil's Supreme Court judge, Alexandre de Moraes, were met with a decision to shut down operations in the South American nation.

“Due to @Alexandre's 'Justice' demands in Brazil that would force us to (secretly) violate Brazilian, Argentinian, US and international law, X has no choice but to close our local operations in Brazil. It is a total disgrace to justice,” the SpaceX founder and CEO posted in response to an announcement from X's Global Government Affairs team.

“Last night, Alexandre de Moraes threatened our legal representative in Brazil with arrest if we did not comply with his censorship orders. He did so in a secret order, which we share here to expose his actions,” he detailed before assure the judge, “His actions are incompatible with democratic government. The people of Brazil have an option to decide: democracy or Alexandre de Moraes.

Earlier this year, Musk reportedly moved X staff to safety in Brazil after facing a criminal investigation over alleged “fake news” and threats to see the platform shut down entirely in the country. In addition to threats of arrest, fines had been levied and the billionaire had acknowledged the likelihood of the office closing while he declared“But principles matter more than profit.”

In a follow-up post to the decision, viewed nearly 53 million times since publication, Musk explained: “The decision to close the X office in Brazil was difficult, but if we had accepted secret censorship (il ·legal) of @alexandre and the private. The demands for the delivery of information, there was no way we could explain our actions without embarrassing ourselves.”

The last measure to preserve freedom of expression occurred as the Commissioner of the European Union Thierry Breton threatened Musk on his streaming conversation with former President Donald Trump, warning that any breach of the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA) would be met with a response that makes “full use of our toolbox”.

As part of his response to tell Breton where he could put his threats, since the UK had tried to extradite people for social media posts as part of its own crackdown, Musk simply said: ” hello!”

It also came when X had introduced one antitrust lawsuit against the Global Alliance for Responsible Media and its key members for, as X CEO Linda Yaccarino put it, having the ability to “monopolize what is monetized.”

Referring to a US House Judiciary Committee report that noted, “that its investigation had found evidence of an illegal boycott against many companies, including X,” to “target disadvantaged platforms, content creators and news organizations in an effort to demonetize and, in effect, limit certain choices for consumers,” Yaccarino said. “This behavior is a stain on a large industry and cannot be allowed to continue.”

Before having some fun at the expense of the appearance of De Moraes and the likeness of a particular character from the Harry Potter series, Brazilian lawmaker Nikolas Ferreira extended an invitation to the richest man in the world to participate in the demand for the dismissal of de Moraes on September 7.

Meanwhile, Musk responded affirmatively to a comment on the DogeDesigner account that wrote: “This is a battle for the future of civilization. If freedom of speech is lost, tyranny is all that lies ahead.”
