Iran flexes muscle by hacking Donald Trump campaign files

The FBI is investigating claims by the Trump campaign that hackers linked to the Iranian government targeted them. The FBI confirmed the investigation without naming Trump or Iran. A campaign spokesman said foreign entities hostile to the US illegally obtained the documents. Iranian officials denied involvement, and the US government has not formally charged Iran. The FBI is also investigating incidents in which hackers targeted members of the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris campaign. That statement from the Trump campaign followed a Microsoft report revealing that Iranian hackers targeted an unnamed U.S. presidential candidate in June.
