The vice president formally unveiled her administration's proposals if she wins the election, one of which was a punitive “price gouging” ban that would allow government commissioners to impose price controls on food, a disastrous move that has wrecked countries with reckless leadership.
In a gag op-edthe paper's editorial board dumped Harris in a sign that the honeymoon after being installed in a Nancy Pelosi-led coup against the aging Joe Biden may be coming to an end.

“'Price gouging' isn't causing inflation. So why is the VP promising to eliminate it?” asks the Editorial Board, which accuses her of being “less frank” with voters about the reasons for the Biden-Harris inflation by “blaming big business,” a typical scapegoat for progressive Democrats.
“Vice President Kamala Harris' speech on Friday was an opportunity to get specific with voters about how a Harris presidency would handle an economy that many feel is not working well for them. Unfortunately, instead of delivering a substantial plan, she squandered the moment in populist tricks,” the paper said.
“Mrs. Harris says she will target companies with 'excessive' profits, whatever that means,” the editorial board wrote. “Fortunately, Ms. Harris's bet was met with almost instant skepticism, with many critics citing President Richard M. Nixon's failed price controls since the 1970s. Whether Harris' proposal wins over voters remains to be seen, but if sound economic analysis still matters, it won't.”
“Of course, every campaign makes expensive promises that will never be fulfilled, especially with a divided Congress. Remember Mr. Biden's promise to make community college free? Yet even adjusted for the complacent standards of the economy campaign, Ms. Harris's speech on Friday is a disappointment,” the editorial board concluded at the end of its scathing review.
