Demonstrating a willingness to “fight unapologetically,” one Central American nation offered an update on what they've done with “every last vestige” of gender ideology in public education.
As elites have sought to impose their globalist agenda at the local and national level wherever possible, populist movements have increasingly risen to confront it head-on in the hope of preserving tradition and National sovereignty.
Representing one such movement, the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, recently won re-election, and it was quickly confirmed that public schools had suppressed the teaching of transgender principles and the like.
“CONFIRMED,” El Salvador's Education Minister José Mauricio Pineda wrote on Tuesday, “we have removed all use or trace of gender ideology from public schools.”

In a note on Wednesday obtained by the newspaper La Prensa Gràfica, Pineda had it detailed“It has been ensured that all didactic material and programming, didactic resources, plans, textbooks and workbooks, administrative documents, web pages, learning guides, multimedia objects and other documentation related to the daily work of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology do not contain or allude to this ideology”.
Word of the nation's efforts to crack down on Marxism as part of an effort stretching back to 2022 came after Bukele had visited Washington, D.C., where he participated in the 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference.
During his trip, the president spoke with the national director of Moms for Liberty, Catalina Stubbe, and expressed, “Schools need to eradicate this because it is a plan to destroy future generations.”
“It is important that the curriculum does not carry gender ideology and all these things. Parents should be informed and have a say and a say in what their children will learn,” read a translation of their conversation.

Bukele went on to express: “I think it is important to bring God back to schools, to bring back morality, civility, to learn traditional things like mathematics and history. Nobody is against modernization; what we are against is the introduction of unnatural, anti-God, anti-family ideologies, which do not fit in our schools”.
As the president took the stage at CPAC, he told the enthusiastic crowd, “If you want globalism to die here, too, you must be willing to fight unapologetically against everything and everyone who stands for it. Fight for your freedoms, fight for your rights”.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) showed how the same could be done to address indoctrination in higher education, as a May 2023 law against state-funded universities that used diversity, l 'equity and inclusion (DEI) resulted in the University of Florida eliminating all related staff positions.
An administrative note from the school to read“To comply with Florida Governor's Board Regulation 9.016 on Prohibited Expenditures, the University of Florida has closed the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer, eliminated DEI administrative positions and appointments, and halted DEI-focused contracts with external suppliers”.
Bukele's stated position garnered considerable favor on social media.
It's wonderful to hear your thoughts on cleaning up the education system.
