There was no shortage of racial slurs surrounding former President Donald J. Trump's appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention this week, an epic display by the GOP nominee.
By being invited to the event, Trump was able to bypass the dishonest media filter and speak directly to black journalists who were allowed to make up their own minds, which is apparently impermissible.
During his appearance, Trump gave a master class in how to handle rude activist reporters with a racial ax when he shut down a question from ABC News moderator Rachel Scott about whether Democratic candidate Kamala Harris was a DEI hire .

“It's a mess,” former Ohio University journalism professor Justice B. Hill he said The Hollywood Reporter. “It all came together in the last few days. And I hate that things aren't transparent. There's controversy among members — one of the co-chairs of the Chicago convention resigned.”
He was referring to Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah, who hissed and quit in protest before Wednesday's event in Chicago, the crime-ridden site of the upcoming Democratic National Convention, a party of love “Kamalot”.
I have decided to leave the position of co-president of this year's #NABJ24 convention in Chicago.
To the reporters interviewing Trump, I wish them the best of luck.
To everyone else, I look forward to meeting and reconnecting with all of you in the Windy City. #nabj

“He doesn't surprise members like this. He has never spoken at our convention before. He was invited in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and he refused to come. So why is he coming now? He is coming because he sees some advantage,” said Hill, who used “divisive” as a term to describe the 2024 Republican Party nominee's invitation.
He also lamented that none of the three moderators were from the “black press” or “exclusively” black media.
“The black press cannot be marginalized, especially when it comes to issues related to this. That's in the wheelhouse,” Hill told THR. “So we can't have any place at the table, especially with the organization that's about blackness and the power of the press.”
“And Chicago certainly has one of the most dynamic black press. Why weren't they invited? Why weren't they asked about this before they did anything? You can't just throw this out at the last minute and say it's a great idea. It's not a great idea,” he added.
“Walking into a room full of black journalists and attacking someone's 'blackness' is another level of disrespect. To anyone who needs a reminder: we can't change the color of our skin and we don't want to,” complained NAACP President Derrick Johnson, who heads the once venerable civil rights organization that is effectively now just another appendage of the race-obsessed Democratic Party.
“Trump walked into our house, a black press advocacy convention, and insulted us to our faces. What's worse, he was invited to do it by NABJ leadership,” lamented April Ryan, The Grio's White House correspondent, a longtime critic of the former president who has suggested he is a racist.

But other black journalists expressed a very different point of view, one of them being Harris Faulkner of Fox News, who was one of the moderators.

“So what I liked about what you didn't get to see today was how much that audience enjoyed the moment of hearing from a candidate that they might not always agree with,” Faulkner. he said Fox News contributor Martha MacCallum live from the event.
“And that's the whole point. This is the growth of journalism to be able to listen and question those things that you might not know because you don't often talk to that person or those people. That was the goal here,” he said.
“The NABJ event I went to the other day had a lot of really great people. The support they gave me, and still give me, is very special. Thank you!!!” trump he wrote at Truth Social on Friday.
