'Influencer' urges followers to raise money for illegal alien who allegedly shot tourist in Times Square

An illegal alien criminal who is also a TikTok influencer has been using his influence to support a fellow illegal criminal who had shot at the police.

As previously reported, earlier this month a suspected illegal alien “teen” allegedly opened fire in New York City's Times Square while resisting arrest for robbery. The shot left a Brazilian tourist injured.

The suspect has since been identified as Jesús Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela, the same country from which TikTok influencer Leonel Moreno illegally immigrated to the United States.

Rivas-Figueroa is currently being held on attempted murder without bail, a rarity for New York City, on a mild felony charge.

Despite this, Moreno has urged his nearly 300,000 followers to come together and raise money to apparently get Rivas-Figueroa out of jail.

“I invite you to search [his] mom and we all come together to pay the bail, so that this young Venezuelan feels that you are not alone in difficult times, but remember that there is a God up there who sees,” he said in a recent TikTok video, as he explained .a translation of the New York Post.

“Today it could be him, tomorrow it could be you…He's done something wrong, that's okay. You never know when God will put you in a situation like this young man is in. We're going to join forces so that this boy can be free and have a chance “, he added.

In addition to being clearly a pro-criminal illegal alien, Moreno is also soliciting money while living in Columbus, Ohio with his “partner” and three-month-old daughter.

Case in point: In another recent video, he bragged about making $275 in “three hours.” [of] asking for money at traffic lights”.

Critics who spoke to the Post were furious about Moreno's behavior.

“Americans should be outraged to see how someone can come … and abuse America's laws and benefits,” said Daniel Di Martino, a fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a native of Venezuela.

“Unfortunately, he is just one of many who are ripping off the taxpayer because of our poorly written laws that allow them to collect some welfare and take years to decide asylum cases that will likely be denied,” he added.

New York City Councilman Joseph Borelli, a Republican, agreed.

“This is exactly the kind of attitude that is really helping migrants win the hearts and minds of New Yorkers to their cause,” he said sarcastically.

“We don't need to start importing criminals or crowdsourcing jailbreak campaigns. The influencer better start warning his followers: don't come to America to commit crimes,” added Councilman Robert Holden, democrat

All of this comes about two weeks after a report was released that New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is quietly handing out taxpayer dollars to illegal alien criminals.

The New York Post noted at the time that in May, the state's Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) amended its “Safety Net Assistance” (SNA) program to make aliens il· criminal law were eligible.

“With immediate effect, the OTDA recognizes as PRUCOL non-citizens in any of the following categories for purposes of eligibility for the SNA. If they are otherwise eligible, people who present immigration documentation that prove any of the following categories can receive the SNA,” read an unknown advertisement from the OTDA.

PRUCOL is short for permanent residence under color of law and, according to the New York government, “was created by the courts and is used to obtain public benefits, including Medicaid.”

The only potential good news was that the OTDA had claimed that only 10 percent of the state's current criminal illegal alien population was eligible for the program. That said, even 10 percent is a lot of people.

“With more than 173,000 migrants arriving in the Big Apple since spring 2022, if just 10% of migrants here are eligible for SNA payments, the number of recipients could exceed 17,000 in New York alone,” noted the Post.
