Minnesota's rural voters agree: Its governor, Tim Walz, is “very, very liberal,” if not a radical leftist.
talking with Fox Newsa group of rural Minnesota voters warned about Walz's clear leftism, which they said matched the leftism of presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who has chosen him as her running mate.
“He's almost as liberal as she is,” said one rural voter. “And I think most people in Minnesota are happy about that [him joining Harris’ ticket]because he might leave, or at least be gone for a period of time.”
“I would tell you that she was voted as the most liberal in the Senate. I would say that she is not too far behind”, added the voter.

Another rural voter warned that Minnesota has practically become California under Walz's tenure.
“We joke that we're mini-California,” the voter said. “Most of us, if we could, would annex South Dakota. He's put policies in place that have hurt small businesses. I have friends who have lost small businesses because of his policies. He's killing our small time , our rural development”.
“He said we're just rocks and cows out here. And he's done very little to help us, and honestly, a man who can sit back and let a city burn without doing anything like he did in 2020, that's not integrity , and doesn't deserve a vote,” added the voter.
A third voter expressed outrage at Walz's tacit tolerance and approval of the violent Black Lives Matter riots of 2020.
“I'm not the most informed about everything he's done, but I know what we would talk about during school when I was watching the news and seeing how Minneapolis was being destroyed and burned,” the voter said. . “We thought, where's the leadership, where's the governor coming out here to tell people to go to your house and be done with it.”
“And we knew that he had fired the National Guard, we knew exactly what his plan was: to increase the division. Because let's be honest, that's how a lot of these people get elected. They want to create a division to benefit themselves and the their political campaigns”, added the voter.
Even Minnesota Democrats say they have “serious problems” with Tim Walz's fear-mongering approach when Minneapolis burned in 2020.

A fourth voter said Walz doesn't care about rural Americans.
“He has no time for rural Minnesota,” the voter said. “The last time he ran for governor, he didn't campaign outside the seven-county metro area, which shows his views on rural America as he runs for vice president.”
“He has no time for rural America. I think as a potential leader, he's showing a lot of contempt for his opponents right now, the way he's going about it. It might be the way the game is played, but it's not the way I want our leaders to act,” added the voter.
But Walz has had plenty of time to deal with alien criminals. During his time as governor, he has defended Minneapolis' decision to be a sanctuary city for criminal aliens and signed a bill that expands access to driver's licenses for everyone, including criminal aliens.

Walz also signed a bill that removed anti-pedophile language from the state's Human Rights Act, because apparently pandering to pedophiles was more important to him than reaching rural voters.
Walz is also an advocate for transgender surgery for children.
“The governor. Tim Walz signed an executive order … securing the people [including children] who seek and receive gendered care [transgender surgery] in the state they have legal protection”, MPR News reported March 2023.
“The move comes after seven states (Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah) banned care for gender-affirming transgender youth and many more have passed bills that would do the same or would prohibit care for transgender people of any age,” the report continued.
