“I'm not sure who's doing the work”

The mainstream media was called out for their “incompetence in duty” by confronting Vice President Kamala Harris.

Fox News contributor Mary Katharine Ham and former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany criticized the press for not holding Harris accountable, as he has avoided any press conferences or interviews with the reporters since taking over the top spot on the Democratic presidential ticket.

“It was kind of hard to hear the question last night, but it sounded a little like, 'Madam Vice President, what do you think?' opportunity to call him something. I think that's a complete dereliction of duty on the part of the press,” Ham said on Fox News' “Fox & Friends” on Friday.

“Right now we're not sure if the Middle East is on the brink of a big conflagration, where Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is getting plea deals. There's a lot going on right now and I'm not sure who's doing the work. The president Biden answered some questions last night. He also stood slack-jawed as she answered the one they gave her,” the columnist continued. “And I think we can all say that looks like a power-sharing arrangement of some kind, about which the media has no curiosity.”

“There's no thought piece about how we should worry about it,” Ham continued.

And look, if she wants to be the president of the United States, we should know where she stands on the issues. She keeps issuing these statements from her staff saying that she has completely reversed her decisions. The press, if not pressuring her on these things, is allowing her to cosplay as president with all the trappings of that job without the pressures of that job. And that's not fair to the American people, because they should have a full understanding of exactly what they're getting into,” he added. “She needs to be pressured.”

McEnany noted that it had been 12 days since he was crowned as Biden's future successor, and Harris had yet to hold a formal news conference.

“I think Kamala herself loses in a historic landslide. Kamala-plus-media is something completely different. That's why Kamala, the new basement for her is the teleprompter. She wants a scripted campaign. … That's what she trusts . Where is the press?” he asked on Friday “They outnumber.”
