President Joe Biden said he is “crazy” about his grandchildren despite refusing to acknowledge the existence of a granddaughter for years.
“I’m crazy about my grandchildren,” Biden he laughed on Friday during a ceremony honoring Mark Milley, who retired as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Biden, however, refused for years to acknowledge his seventh grandchild, four-year-old Navy Joan, who is Hunter Biden’s son with former stripper Lunden Alexis Roberts. A paternity test in 2019 proved that the first child is the child’s father.
Despite a DNA test proving Hunter Biden’s paternity, Joe Biden until this summer failed to recognize John when he refers to his grandchildren. White House policy was reportedly to deny the existence of the granddaughter.
“In strategy meetings over the last few years, aides have been told that the Bidens have six grandchildren, not seven,” he said. News from New York reported in July.
This changed after the time,” and after columnist Maureen Dowd took a scathing jab at Biden column asking that the president recognize Joan.
“This is not a political issue, this is a family matter,” Biden said in a July statement in which he finally acknowledged his granddaughter. “Jill and I want only the best for all of our grandchildren, including Marina.”
