“If he was smart, he’d introduce himself as Abortin’ Joe”

Comedian and “Real Time” host Bill Maher offered some strong campaign slogans for President Joe Biden in light of this week’s election results.

As abortion rights appeared to be the issue that propelled Democrats to the polls and produced unexpected Republican losses in some districts, Maher suggested that the president ride the wave of success with a change of brand calling himself “Abortin’ Joe.”

In the opening monologue of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, the host analyzed the “good news/bad news” week for Democrats who had some electoral victories but also had to ‘face a poll that showed Biden trailing the former. President Donald Trump in five of six key states.

“But there was, it was good news, a bad week for Democrats, bad news in the six battleground states. Trump is beating Biden in five of six of them. And Biden’s support among voters non-whites dropped 33 points. And Democrats can’t win on just whites,” Maher said.

“Well. It hasn’t hurt Taylor Swift though. But…” he joked.

“The good news for Democrats is that they have a kind of kryptonite issue, abortion. America loves abortion. And even in red states, seven of these times, seven times it’s on the ballot. People are saying, no, read my lips, no babies,” she continued.
