On Monday evening, security forces announced that an IDF soldier who had been kidnapped during the October 7th Hamas terrorist attack had been happily reunited with her family.

Pvt. Ori Megidish was reportedly taken hostage over three weeks ago.

At the time, she was at the Nahal Oz base as an observation solider when terrorists caught her. However, not many details were given about the overnight ground operation, in order to prevent harm in future operations.

She was believed to have been alone when Israeli soldiers rescued her.

Megidish has undergone medical checks and according to the IDF she is said to be “doing well.”

“The soldier was medically examined, her condition is good and she met with her family,” the IDF said in a statement. “The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to make every effort to bring about the release of the abductees.”

An influx of videos were shared to social media showing Megidish reuniting with her family.

239 hostages were taken from Israel, including 33 children. Netanyahu asserted that the Jewish State will not rest until all of the hostages are released. He also maintained that there would be no ceasefire.
