Idaho's Independent Potato Farmers Under Government Attack? The value of the land could plummet [VIDEOS]

Idaho farmers are sounding the alarm about the serious impacts of recent water restriction orders issued by the state's Department of Water Resources. These actions have resulted in significant economic losses, not only threatening farmers' livelihoods, but also jeopardizing the entire agricultural economy in eastern Idaho. Many farmers believe these actions are intentional, prioritizing large corporations over small farmers and the general public.

Hutch discussed the broader issue on “The Wayne Dupree Show,” highlighting the series of attacks on the food supply. “Back to my original that caused this, about the attacks on our food supply. We've all seen them for a couple of years now, all the fires and meat kills and everything. Well, listen to this one” , he said before playing a video clip with Trevor Belknap.

In the video, Trevor Belknap, a fifth-generation farmer from the Snake River Valley in eastern Idaho, expressed his deep concern about the water limitation order. “Good morning everyone. My name is Trevor Belknap. I operate a family farm, a fifth generation family farm in the Snake River Valley in eastern Idaho. I just wanted to check in with you for a minute about the impacts of the water restriction order issued by director of water resources the situation we are in is as bad as it gets not only will we be put out of business but many other businesses will be greatly affected, and you, like my friends and neighbors, will also be affected, because we are so interconnected.”

Belknap detailed the dire consequences if the order remains in place. “If the AG, the economy in eastern Idaho fails, which surely, if this restraining order is in place, it will dry up and explode, just like it did in the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. Banks will fail, the equipment dealers, the car dealers, the gas stations, the grocery stores, they all depend on the agricultural economy here in eastern Idaho, the kids in our schools. How many of them they belong to families that work in some kind of agricultural industry in eastern Idaho, it's horrible and we have to fix it.”

He questioned the timing and need for the order, suggesting it is more about mismanagement than a genuine water shortage. “I would suggest that it is not a water problem. It's a management problem, because we have full water tanks. The mountains are covered with snow. The river went well. why now Because? After we've planted our crops, we've got crops in the ground that are already growing now, in mid-June, they put in a restraining order to tell you to stop pumping water.”

Belknap also highlighted the economic impact on farmers. “The cost is huge. An acre of potatoes costs more than $4,000 per acre to grow. How will he ever recover? They will not grow without water. And what will this do to everyone else who depends on us in this area and the state of Idaho? What are the counties going to do for roads and bridges, police departments, ambulances, hospitals that depend on the tax, tax base property like this will have no value without water, land has no value here.” .

Hutch was visibly affected by Belknap's words. “This is heartbreaking, man. To think that some bureaucrat is doing this on purpose or too stupid to understand the consequences is beyond crazy. You know, you know who owns a lot of these farms or where they sell a lot of their potatoes? McDonald's. Yeah, they're from Idaho. These are the big ones.”

Jason Robertson echoed these concerns, pointing to a possible agenda behind these actions. “Charlene hits the nail right on the head. What she's saying is exactly what the government and elites like Bill Gates want to happen. We've talked before about government bureaucracy and government bureaucracies. These are things that are imposed and that they don't vote”.

Robertson stressed the importance of supporting independent farmers. “They're targeting the food supply because they know farmers are independent. They don't like government. They don't need regulation. They're freedom-loving people in this part of the country, and the more access we have to doing business with farmers like these guys, it's better for us, worse for the elites.”

The situation in Idaho underscores the need for urgent action to protect farmers' rights and the agricultural economy from potentially destructive government policies.
