In her desperation for a victory in the New Hampshire primary, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley offered Democrats a gift with her latest attack on front-runner Donald J. Trump.
The former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations has had a rough week, and when Trump disappeared and mixed his name with former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Haley pounced, probably not expecting the his comments appeared in an ad for the Biden-Harris Campaign.
“Haley reacts to Trump's delusional and confused allegation last night where he suggested she be Speaker of the House on Jan. 6: She was confused. I wonder if she's in the right frame of mind,” Team Biden said in their spot that was published on X and other social media platforms.

“We see that Biden has changed a lot in two years,” Haley said at an event in New Hampshire. “But last night, Trump is at a rally and he goes on and on and on and on about me multiple times why I didn't take security during the Capitol riots. Why didn't I handle January 6th better? I wasn't even in DC on January 6. He was not in office then.”
“They say he got confused, that he was talking about something else, that he's talking about Nancy Pelosi,” Haley said. “He mentioned me several times in that setting. The concern I have is — I'm not saying anything derogatory — but when he's facing the pressures of the presidency, we can't have someone else questioning whether he's mentally fit to do this. . We can not.”
Trump clarified his mistake in a Saturday post on Truth Social.

“Nancy Pelosi was in charge of Security – she should not have turned down the 10,000 welds that President Trump offered days before January 6th. Also, the Select Committee on Political Hack and Thugs on January 6th should not have to have REMOVED AND DESTROYED the evidence and conclusions of their Committees. What they did is illegal: A CRIME!!!” Trump wrote.
Haley, who for the first time in her campaign has faced sudden scrutiny, can hardly be blamed for jumping on the verbal convulsions of her formidable opponent, and her criticism of Trump is well liked by Democrats who are already his biggest supporters.
While it's more than a little hypocritical for the Biden campaign to focus on questions about his opponent's mental fitness given the geriatric Democrat's extensive highlight reel of senior moments, gaffes and mental errors, they will take what they can get at this stage.
The establishment pick for the GOP nomination, Haley has suffered a series of setbacks in recent days, not the least of which was her third-place finish in Iowa despite the hype and failure to win in New Hampshire, where it has the governor. in his pocket would be a monumental blow to his candidacy.
