“I think it was a hit”

-

Former President Donald Trump was unimpressed with President Joe Biden's demagogic, campaign-like exit speech.

How previously informedBiden brazenly misused the Oval Office on Wednesday to deliver a lie-filled campaign speech for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

During the speech, he ostensibly tried to explain why he withdrew from the 2024 presidential race by claiming that he did so “in defense of democracy.” Trump didn't buy it for a second.

“I think it was a coup,” Trump told Fox News anchors.Fox & Friends” Thursday. “They didn't want him to run. He was far below the polls and they thought he was going to lose.”

“They went to him and said, you can't win the race, which I think is true unless I did something really stupid, which I wasn't going to do, and I think I was so down and they said, ” You're not going to win, you're not in great shape, and you did poorly in the debate.” I think the debate started everything,” he added.

correct Before the debate between him and Biden, Democrats and their pathetically devoted media allies acted as if the president was an infallible, perfectly hearted God who had it all going for him.

Then, the moment the debate shattered that illusion, Democrats and their media allies turned on Biden, demanding he drop out of the race and let someone younger take his place. After weeks of fending off criticism, the president finally bent the knee last weekend.

“I also know that a lot of people on the other side went, and they forced him out between Pelosi and Obama and some others that you see on TV,” Trump continued. “It was interesting. I would watch them on TV and they act really well. 'Oh yes, we loved you. We loved you behind the scenes. I know for a fact that they were brutal.”

Echoing what he wrote in Truth Social after the speech, which “was almost understandable and so bad,” Trump went on to say that the Oval Office address was simply “terrible.”

“It was like a terrible speech and a terrible delivery,” he said. “It looked like it was in trouble, and yet you look at the other networks and you think it was Ronald Reagan at his best, Winston Churchill at his best, and he wasn't. It wasn't good… It wasn't a good speech

“It's so fake what's going on. The press is so, it's so fake. Anyone can see it was a problem,” he added.

Is true. While honest critics responded to the president's speech by pointing out its many flaws, namely that it was a campaign speech delivered from the Oval Office, the corporate press was quick to praise Dear Leader.

Specific case:

While speaking with the “Fox & Friends” hosts, Trump also addressed Vice President Harris' false claim that he is a “predator.”

“I was elected vice president before I was elected as a United States senator,” she said during a rally on Tuesday. “I was elected attorney general for the state of California and before that I was a district attorney. I took on perpetrators of all kinds.”

“Predators who abused women, scammers who ripped off consumers, scammers who broke the rules of their own game. So hear me out when I say that I know Donald Trump is tight, and in this campaign, I promise you, I will proudly put my record against his any day of the week,” he added.

In response to those remarks, Trump bluntly called Harris “trash.”

“Well, I think it's disgusting,” she said of his words. “[But] I get a kick out of one thing. They say, 'Lord, be kind. You just got hit with a bullet. Maybe it has changed. be kind and I'd love to be nice, but I'm dealing with real trash when you hear it.”

That prompted Fox News host Brian Kilmeade to ask her if her comments had gotten under her skin.

“It's not about getting under your skin,” Trump replied. “You fight. I fought, I think, very bravely. But they armed the United States Department of Justice against Donald Trump with the goal of hurting his political opponent. And so far, and I think in the long run, he's had a positive effect. My poll numbers are high, higher than ever.”

Is true.
