The president lived up to his “creepy” moniker Sunday with his latest “cringe alert”-worthy interaction with children.
“I love your ears.”
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden traveled to Norfolk, Virginia over the weekend to honor service members ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday promoting the White House’s Joining Forces Initiative. However, the “dinner with friends” did not end without an awkward exchange with children sitting nearby.
As he closed his address, Biden’s oft-demonstrated penchant for connecting with children drew him like a tractor beam to the nearest table where he zeroed in on a young girl adorned in a headband with spotted ears.
“Thank you, thank you,” the Commander-in-Chief said into the microphone before turning his attention to the girl, walking over to her and bowing. “And I love your ears. I love them. They’re so cool. What’s your name?”
After the girl answered, Biden furthered their interaction, saying, “Catherine, what a beautiful name. That’s my mom’s name. It’s nice to see, how old are you, 17?
A young boy at the table answered on her behalf, causing the president to turn his focus away from the girl as he exclaimed, “Six! And how old are you, 15?
“Four!” the octogenarian replied. “You’re a pretty big boy. Well, I tell you what, be nice to your sister. You’re going to need her someday. At least I did.”
While onlookers smiled at the interaction, social media users all too used to Biden’s odd behavior around minors couldn’t help but sound the alarm bells, with one even suggesting, “Run run kid! “

Others couldn’t help but notice the first lady’s reaction as her husband approached the table and she exchanged a look with a member of the United States Secret Service who seemed ready to step in while she figured out the situation.
“Look at Jill’s look at the Secret Service guy!!” one person wrote how another expressed: “Jill gives him a dagger look, ‘I told you don’t let a boy feel this close… he can’t help himself.’ Dirty.”

Of course, the exchange was hardly out of character for the president, whose meek and nosy interactions have been documented over the years and throughout his administration. Both young boys and girls have been treated awkwardly by Biden’s grandfather, and the awkwardness of these meetings can easily be seen etched on their faces.
His words only add to the creepiness, as in October last year, when he chose to offer a teenage girl some unsolicited dating advice that sounded very much like promoting promiscuity, as he suggested: “Now , a very important thing I told my daughter and granddaughters: There are no serious boys until the age of 30.
