Hunter Biden got millions from Romanian criminal oligarch to influence US politics [VIDEO]

Wednesday, the office of special counsel David Weiss revealed that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, allegedly received “compensation” from a Romanian businessman seeking to influence US politics.

That information was revealed in a filing related to Biden's federal tax case, which begins next month.

Breitbart reported the sum to be $3,101,258.

Weiss' team plans to introduce evidence to support that claim and argue against Biden's request to exclude certain evidence, which it argues is prejudicial.

The filing includes details about the unnamed businessman, but claims there is no “direct” financial link between Biden and a foreign government.

Principal Assistant Special Counsel Derek Hines noted in the filing that evidence of Biden's dealings with the businessman reflects his intent and state of mind during the relevant tax years.

Hines noted that Biden's actions suggest he was actively involved in attempts to influence US politics, backed by an oral agreement to receive millions of dollars.

Hunter Biden faces charges of failure to pay taxes, failure to file taxes, tax evasion and filing a fraudulent tax form.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 5.
