How to watch Trump’s speech in New Hampshire

President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Windham, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, marking his first campaign appearance since his third indictment.

Trump is expected to deliver remarks at 2:30 p.m. ET at Windham High School, where crowds have already begun forming in the pouring rain, according to videos posted to X.

New Hampshire is a critical state to win in the 2024 primaries and general election. To win the nation’s second primary contest, presidential candidates have been ramping up appearances in the state with the hopes of winning some of the state’s 22 delegates, which are awarded on a proportional basis.

Recent polling has also shown the 45th president with a wide lead among Republicans, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former N.J. Gov Chris Christie, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, in the Granite State.

In a new NHJournal/co-efficient poll, Trump led with 43 percent, while DeSantis slipped into single-digits at nine percent, tying for second with Christie.

While New Hampshire has more often than not favored Democrats throughout 21st-century presidential races, the state is certainly in play for Republicans and may present new avenues to winning the 2024 election.

Although the state carries only four electoral votes, George W. Bush’s win of the state in 2000 just put him over the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.

Despite losing the swing state by under 3000 votes to Hillary Clinton in 2016, Trump has still garnered massive support throughout New Hampshire. In 2020, he also grew his vote totals by nearly 20,000 more votes from 2016.

Should Trump carry the state in 2024’s general election, it may offer him a different path to victory if he underperformed in other parts of the country, a testament to the state’s significance in the road to the White House.
