Glenn Beck reported Friday that House Republicans will not only release 5,000 hours of Jan. 6 CCTV footage from the Capitol, in part in response to the FBI arrest of Blaze Media reporter Steve Baker, but the 40,000 hours will be released over the next 8 weeks.
Baker, an investigative reporter, revealed earlier this week that the FBI had ordered him to surrender on Friday, saying it was related to his “journalistic efforts” to cover the events of January 6 in Washington, d.c. It is quite remarkable that more than 3 years later, the office is yet arresting people for a protest that got out of hand.
Beck released a video of his interview with U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), breaking it down.
BREAKING: @RepLoudermilk tells me that today, House Republicans will release 5,000 hours of Jan. 6 CCTV footage from the Capitol partially in response to the FBI arrest of Blaze Media reporter Steve Baker. The House also plans to release ALL 40,000 hours over the next 8 weeks. pic.twitter.com/elUrxqLWZa

“Literally, right before we went in, speaker Mike Johnson released what we've been working on for the past few weeks…today, an additional 5,000 hours of video footage will be available at Rumble. It will be rolling out throughout the day Loudermilk said
“It took us a while to get to this because it's a technical process. You have to convert these videos from the CCTV format to an Internet-compatible format,” the GOP lawmaker explained. “And when we started doing that, when Speaker Johnson said let's get them all out there, we just bringing our investigative team full time to try to process all of this, which was taking us away from the other parts of the investigation. “
Loudermilk said his goal is to free up 1,200 hours a day, and explained that the House hired a contractor to do that.
When asked if the release is due Baker's arrestLoudermilk responded, “The prioritization of which videos we decided to do first is partly because of what Steve is going through.”
Beck noted that Baker offered to give the FBI all the information he had and began insisting that the reporter was documenting what was happening that day before stopping mid-sentence to say he didn't want to go in -there
Here's a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen in X:
Logan: “It is [Jan 6] potentially the biggest setup in the history of this country?”
Loudermilk: “Potentially.”
Logan: “One of the greatest crimes against the American people.”
January 6th was a setup – the FBI, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell and others were involved! pic.twitter.com/ripxP8lYOG

Can someone explain to me why this image was withheld? My mind is going to manipulate the tapes, but I'm just a conspiracy theorist.

It would be nice if they did so people could better understand what happened. But, they've been saying this for a while, so I'm not holding my breath.

Why more than 6 weeks when it has been delayed for years?
— Sloane (@SloaneK_GA) March 1, 2024
Why haven't they done it before? I don't trust them, nothing more or less.

Imagine if they had done it a year ago as promised…
