Hollywood power couple declares 'LA is terrible' after second home invasion this year [VIDEO]

Goldie Hawn is reassessing her future in crime-ridden Los Angeles after enduring two terrifying home invasions. Sharing her harrowing experiences on the popular show “We talk off-camera with Kelly Ripa”, the 78-year-old icon expressed concern for his safety and considered a possible move away from the city that has been his home for many years.

Hawn spoke about the first robbery, which happened while she and longtime partner Kurt Russell were enjoying dinner. The intruders seized the opportunity and ransacked his house during the two hours of absence.

“It's just because LA is terrible. I mean, we got robbed once. We came back and went into the house,” Hawn explained to Kelly Ripa, adding, “I went up the stairs and went into my closet. I just lost it. They had come in from the balcony and into our closets. And they completely knocked down my door, which is a secure door, so they're very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies, if you know what i mean.

Shaken to the core by the traumatic event, Hawn hoped lightning wouldn't strike twice. However, his hopes were soon dashed when another disturbing incident occurred just four months later. This time, she found herself home alone with only her dog for company when she heard a loud noise coming from upstairs.

“I heard this loud bang upstairs, and I was alone; Kurt wasn't there, and I was like, 'What the hell was that?'… Was it like, was that a boom? Did somebody jump somewhere? And as it turned out, the next day, we found out they were trying to break into my bedroom while I was home.—Goldie Hawn

These alarming experiences have caused Hawn and Russell to seriously consider moving to Palm Desert due to the increased crime rates they have witnessed in Los Angeles. Hawn explained that she now has a dedicated security guard, especially when she's alone.

“And if we couldn't live in LA, where would we live? We both decided, I think it's Palm Desert… It's very safe.” —Goldie Hawn
