The chairman of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, slammed the “elites” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, saying they are “part of the problem”.
Roberts also defended Donald Trump as he told the self-styled global elites that their time is up.
“It's ridiculous that you or anyone would describe Davos as protecting liberal democracy,” Roberts said while taking part in a panel. “It's equally laughable to use the word dictatorship in Davos and point it at President Trump. In fact, I think it's absurd.”
“President Trump, if he's the next president, because of that, I think whoever the next conservative president is, he's going to take on the power of the elites, which I mentioned earlier,” he continued. “But what I want to drive home here, the very reason I'm here in Davos is to explain to a lot of people in this room and who are watching with all due respect, nothing personal, but that's your part of the problem .. Political elites”.

Roberts spoke about the disparity between what elites believe and what the average person believes when it comes to immigration, crime and climate control.
“The elites are telling us that we have this existential crisis with so-called climate change so much so that climate alarmism is probably the biggest cause of mental health crisis in the world,” he said. “The solutions, the average person knows, based on climate change, are much worse and more damaging and cost more human lives, especially in Europe during the time you need heating, than the problem and the problems themselves.”
The position of China and the World Health Organization on gender identity was also included, with Roberts saying that WEF was giving a platform to the Chinese Communist Party and that he would “count on Trump to end this nonsense”.
“The new president, especially if his President Trump, as you like to say, 'trusts science.' He will understand the basic biological reality of man and woman,” he added. “And you know why? Not because of guilt of retribution. Not because he's a dictator. But because he has the power of the American people behind him.”
“Ultimately, I think that President Trump, if indeed he wins a second term, will be inspired by the wise words of Javier Millet who said that he was in power, not to lead sheep, but to awaken lions,” he concluded Roberts. in the clip above. “This is what the average American and the average free person on planet Earth want from leadership.”
