'He is attacking our country!' Chicago mayor attacks Gov. Abbott on migrant crisis as chicken pox spreads

-

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson blasted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for ferrying migrants to his city and other Democrat-run sanctuary cities, saying the Republican is “attacking our country.”

The mayor's attack comes after a 5-year-old boy died Monday in a temporary shelter in Chicago and ignores the real architect of a historical migratory crisis that has experienced a surprising 8 million aliens crash our border in just three years president joe biden.

“The problem is not just how we respond to the city of Chicago,” Johnson said. “It's the fact that we have a governor, a governor, an elected official in the state of Texas, who is putting families on buses with no shoes, cold, wet, tired, hungry, scared, traumatized, and then they come to the city of Chicago, where we have homeless people, we have mental health facilities that have been closed and closed. You have people who are looking for work.”

“The governor of Texas needs to look in the mirror at the chaos he is causing in this country,” he added. “This isn't just a Chicago dynamic, it's attacking our country.”

Johnson's statement is oblivious to the chaos that goes on every day in overrun Texas cities along the open southern border. It also ignores the real attack on this country, which is the use of illegal immigration to artificially alter the voter demographics forever in America.

CBS Chicago reported that at least six people have been taken to the hospital from the shelter since Sunday, five children and a teenager. One of the children, 5-year-old Jean Carlos Martinez Rivero, died Sunday. The affiliate quoted the Chicago Health Department as saying there was an outbreak of chicken pox at the shelter, though the cause of the child's death has not been released.

“We are saddened by the tragic death of 5-year-old Jean Carlos Martinez, who lived at the temporary shelter at 2241 S. Halsted Street,” Johnson said in a statement. “Initial reports indicate that the child was suffering from a medical emergency and died shortly after arriving at Comer Children's Hospital. City officials are supporting the family and are still gathering information about this tragedy.”

In this regard, Johnson's policies to counter the migrant crisis are being cited as adding to the problem:

The mayor has begun suing bus companies for bringing illegal immigrants to the overcrowded city, which has led to buses no longer communicating about dropping them off to avoid penalties, according to the Chicago Tribune.

“Migrants are no longer being dropped off at the city's landing zone on buses from the southern border, leaving people wandering aimlessly in search of shelter,” the newspaper reported, citing an aide of the mayor
