Harris Faulkner visibly shocked by Mayorkas' claim: 'This man is dangerous'

-

Comments made by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about impending impeachment were enough to visibly shake Fox News host Harris Faulkner.

U.S. Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) was speaking with Faulkner on Monday when she described Mayorkas' alleged comments during a closed-door meeting with members of Congress.

House Republicans are moving to impeach the DHS secretary over his abject failure to handle the southern border crisis that House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La. ) called a “humanitarian catastrophe” .

“Since Secretary Mayorkas took office, we have asked him to enforce the law, to do his job, and he has done the exact opposite. He has testified untruthfully before Congress, repeatedly,” Johnson said on CBS' “Face the Nation” Sunday. “He has been before my committee on multiple occasions and has insisted that the border is closed and secure when everyone in the U.S. he knows it's not true.”

Reacting to a clip of Johnson's comments on “The Faulkner Focus,” Congresswoman Cammack sarcastically called Mayorkas “a real peach.”

“He has repeatedly lied to Congress [and] he has been remiss in his duties,” he added, saying the nation's national security “depends” on him being removed.

Asked by Faulkner if he thought it was possible to remove Mayorkas, Cammack replied, “Absolutely. I have yet to meet a Republican, I even know some Democrats who are anxious to get rid of him.”

The Florida Republican then revealed a disturbing comment Majorkas made behind closed doors when members of Congress reminded him he was going to be impeached.

Cammack told Faulkner, “he said you're not going to like who's coming next.” I asked him if it was a threat and he smiled.

This drew visible surprise from the Fox News host as Cammack continued: “This man is dangerous. He knows exactly what he's doing and he's two-faced. We've got to get rid of him. I hope now.”

“What did you mean 'who comes next'?” Faulkner asked.

“Well, that was the big question,” Cammack replied, “I asked him, I said, 'Is he a threat?' and he just smiled. And I thought, 'This man knows exactly what he's doing. This is 100% by design. They want an open border crisis.'”

Mayorkas, for his part, has defended his record and refuted Republican claims that he has failed to secure the border and generally done his job as head of the Department of Homeland Security, insisting that “the majority of all migrants found on the South West border during this period”. administration have been withdrawn, returned or expelled”.

He also stated Monday that “the issue of immigration is a 'highly politicized issue,'” according to The Hill.

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) said it is “Mayorka's decision-making and his refusal to enforce the laws passed by Congress” that has led to the crisis border and that “his breach of his oath of office”. demands responsibility”.

Greene is promoting a hearing Wednesday ahead of the impeachment trial titled “Heartland Havoc: How Secretary Mayorkas' Failed Leadership Has Affected States.”

“For nearly three years, the American people have demanded an end to the unprecedented crisis on the Southwest border and rightly demanded that Congress hold those responsible accountable,” the Republican lawmaker said in a statement.
