The stunt came shortly after the failed attempt on Trump's life on July 13, and drew harsh criticism for its unsavory nature.

Republican Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee described Green Day's trajectory from establishment defenders to apparent establishment collaborators, emphasizing their departure from their former rebel image.
