The party for “voting decency” had a funny way of showing it during Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's campaign debut, which left one commentator fighting fire with traffic cones.
After corporate media called the left-leaning executive a “popular demeanor,” he hadn't even completed his first appearance alongside Vice President Kamala Harris before that bubble burst. Joining her in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for her debut campaign event, Walz took aim at her rival, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, with a nod to a debunked story about furniture privacy .
Amid tearing down the lawmaker and best-selling author's success story as somehow unattainable for “ordinary people at heart,” the governor claimed, “I can't wait to debate this guy. This is if he's willing to get off the couch and show up. See what I did there?”
Bristling with Walz's continuation of the “of poor quality” and the media's choice to amplify the comment while trying to dig into the GOP to find out what the issue is, Mary Katharine Ham fired back as she wrote to X: “Slandering someone based on a crap message is, of fact, spread misinformation and really bad behavior and it would be a “this is really bad” story instead of a “republicans are complaining” story if he made a concerted effort to go on TV and imply that the Governor Walz has screwed up a traffic cone.”
Defaming someone based on a crap post is actually spreading misinformation and very bad behavior and would be a “this is really bad” story instead of a “republicans are complaining” story if you made a concerted effort to go on TV and tip off Governor Walz. fucked a traffic cone. https://t.co/93Ue7bDxJI

“Yeah, yeah, I know, you're a wimp who can't take a joke if you point out that telling lies about a public figure screwing an inanimate object is mean and juvenile. And it's such a fun trick [because] the public figure cannot defend himself without elevating and degrading himself! She continued before adding: “All disinformation journalists can be screwed traffic cones.”
All disinformation journalists can go to the traffic cones shit.

The shot wasn't all the commentator had to say about the effort to drag Vance's image for stamps that had been submitted to support the Harris-Walz campaign.
In an earlier reaction to the clip of the governor's crude joke, Ham hit out at how out of sync with average voters the comment was as he said, “I see we're very much in line and we're proud of that.”

He similarly fired back at Walz stating, “In Minnesota, we respect our neighbors and the personal choices they make. Even if we don't make the same choice for ourselves, there's a golden rule, keep in mind mind your damn business.”
Presenting one of the large amount of despicable policies of his administration, Ham reacted to the cocky claim: “Is there anything that can refute that claim more directly than “starting a snitch line for people to report meetings of their neighbors and groups of the church to government for violations of Covid restrictions”? [because] that's what he did.”

Whether or not the traffic cone story would gain traction of its own was unknown, but social media users were all for it, along with bashing Walz and the corporate media.
