Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) has only one regret after losing to Donald Trump in 2020 when, just three days before Joe Biden was inaugurated as President of the United States of America.
He made the comment during an interview with CNN host Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday's episode of “The Source” while there to discuss his continued support for Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley.
“Congressman, you know, one thing you've said during Nikki Haley's campaign, repeatedly, when asked about what's her path to victory, is that you talk about the voters and you say the voters should be the ones to decide.” Collins began. “Obviously everyone agrees with that.”
“But when you talk about what the voters decide, I have to ask you because you and I have never talked before in an interview about a text message you sent to Mark Meadows,” he continued. “It was three days before President Biden was inaugurated, and you urged the White House to use the US military to prevent a peaceful transfer of power.”
“Do you regret sending this message?” she asked.

“My only regret is that I misspelled 'martial law,'” Norman replied. “I wrote it wrong.”
“No, I didn't… I didn't… Look, everything happened so fast in that election,” he explained. “The time that was given to see if the ballots were real. There were questions, as you know. There were questions throughout the election process.”
“What happened in Georgia was unusual, what happened in Arizona was unusual,” Norman said. “Look, I talked to the congressmen who served those particular states. But no, I don't regret it at all, and there are still questions that linger today.”
Collins wasn't about to let the lawmaker off so easily. According to her, he was guilty of “subverting the will of the voters” and it was very “important” that he apologize.
“Lord, what questions are there that linger today? Because this is very important,” he told her. “We're approaching another election, and when you talk to Republican voters in the CNN exit polls, half of them don't believe Joe Biden legitimately won the election , which he did. And by calling for martial law because you have questions about the election, I think most people would agree that it's subverting the will of the voters that you often talk about is so important.”
Norman stood his ground.
“The bottom line is that we have to have safe elections and whatever it takes. There are a lot of questions that still exist. You know, you've seen the processes that were there,” he replied. “But no, I wouldn't take it back. I wrote it wrong, I should have taken my time… I was in a hurry, but no, I wouldn't… I have no regrets.”
AX, CNN watchers were quick to label Norman a “Nazi” who “worships a dictator.”

Others saw Collins as a “clown” and a liar.
You are a clown Kaitlan, the J6 hoax you and your network pushed is coming to light Tootsie roll….

This is a fucking lie! The proof is there! The election was stolen and those involved will be prosecuted.

“Why,” wondered one X user, “would any respectable conservative go to this horrible, whiny show of wretchedness?”

Collins, however, was mortified.
“Congressman, it's surprising to hear you say that you're on the fence about calling for martial law to be declared three days before Biden was elected,” he told Norman. “I just wanted to make sure we talked to you about this, so thank you Congressman Ralph Norman for your time tonight.”
