Speaking at the City Club of Cleveland in Ohio on Friday, former Attorney General Barr ripped his former boss, President Donald Trump.
The former senior Justice Department official responded to Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera, who asked him if Donald Trump was “fit to be president.”
Geraldo Rivera: “Is Donald Trump fit to be president?”

“If you believe in his policies, what he’s announcing are his policies, he’s the last person who could actually execute them and get them done,” he added.
“He doesn’t have the discipline,” Barr also said. “He doesn’t have the ability to think strategically and linearly, or set priorities or how to get things done in the system.”
“It’s a horror show, you know, when … he’s left alone,” Barr said.
“And so you might want his policies. But Trump is not going to deliver Trump’s policies,” Barr continued.
“It will unleash chaos and, if something leads to a backlash, that will set their policies much further back than they would otherwise be.”
William Barr previously served as attorney general in the George HW Bush administration before serving in the same role for President Donald Trump from 2019 to 2020.
This isn’t the first time Barr has gone after Trump. After it was revealed that Barr obstructed investigations into alleged voter fraud during the 2020 election, Trump criticized his former attorney general.
“Bill Barr was a disappointment in every sense of the word,” Trump said. “Also, Barr, who was the attorney general (attorney) shouldn’t be talking about the president.”
“Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people at the Department of Justice not to investigate the election,” Trump said. “Like he did with the Mueller report and… RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA, they don’t want to investigate the real facts. Bill Barr’s weakness helped facilitate the cover-up of the crime of the century,” he added.
