Georgia state representative introduces resolution to impeach Fani Willis

Georgia Republican State Rep. Charlice Byrd on Friday introduced a resolution to impeach Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The resolutionwhich comes after allegations that Willis hired her lover Nathan Wade and benefited of awarding him a “lucrative” contract, claims he violated his oath of office by prosecuting former President Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants on racketeering charges. Byrd said in a statement that Willis has “a laundry list of potential conflicts” that make her unfit for office.

“The First Amendment remains the foundation of this country, and Fani Willis cannot overturn it because she has Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Byrd said in a statement. “It's time for our state lawmakers to draw a line in the sand and end their refusal to uphold the Constitution.”
