California Gov. Gavin Newsom is laying it on so thick when it comes to praising 81-year-old President Joe Biden, you can almost smell a rat.
In an appearance Sunday on NBC News' “Meet the Press,” the Democratic governor said he's “all right” with Biden, that he's given a “master class” in being president, and that Biden's age it is a “gift” because it brings so much “wisdom”.
“We have American manufacturing coming home, all because of Biden's wisdom, because of his temper, his ability to lead in a bipartisan way, which is an underrepresented point. So I have a lot of confidence going forward. So that the answer is absolutely. All of it, in terms of the next four years for Joe Biden,” Newsom said.
He went so far as to claim that Biden's alleged success has been “due to his age.”

“I've been out with him, as you know, on the campaign trail, he was just out in California, I've seen him up close. I've seen him from afar, but here's my point. It's because of his age that he have been so successful. It's because of the wisdom and character they've developed over the years,” Newsom said
“So the opportunity to express that for four more years, what a gift that is to the American people and, as a Democrat, what I get to stand up for the leader of our party, Joe Biden,” he added. .
It's almost as if Newsom is laying the groundwork to block any criticism directed at him when and/or if he is installed as the November replacement for the geriatric, cognitively impaired president.
