'Fraud' Mike Johnson gutted for 'total failure' spending scheme with Schumer

-

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk savaged Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson over the atrocious spending deal he cut with Democrats to avert a government shutdown.

Ridiculous nonsense that… it's this doublespeak, it's 'I'm better than you', it's this elitist rubbish: 'Oh, we're doing CR at scale and we're doing this plug-in amendment process'. Cut the crap, okay. I've been there for eleven years. I have met many politicians. I know a scam when I see one. Cut it,” Kirk warned.

“You can't negotiate a deal. You start shaking like a leaf when you walk into a room with Chuck Schumer, 'Yes sir…yes…yes sir.' you come out and say, “Well, maybe, ummm…just let me win a little victory at the press conference about adding amendments and climbing CR…” Enough!” he added in a clip from his show.

Johnson has it outraged many conservatives in reaching the $1.6 trillion deal, especially since no real amount of money was dropped and the border deal was not included. If this continues, it is conceivable that he could face the same fate as Kevin McCarthy and be ousted as Speaker of the House.

Johnson announced his push for the new spending deal on Sunday, which was just McCarthy's pact heated up. Immediately after doing so, several conservative Republicans in Congress criticized him for it, accusing the president of caving in to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“After many weeks of dialogue and debate, we have succeeded hard-fought concessions to unlock the top numbers for FY24 and allow the Appropriations Committee to finally begin negotiating and completing the twelve annual appropriations bills,” Johnson wrote to his fellow Republicans he said. mediatism.

The bill reportedly provides $886 billion for defense spending and $704 billion for non-defense spending.

“While FY23 emergency spending levels will be maintained, no additional emergency funding or additional non-spending changes to mandatory programs (CHIMPS) will be included,” the letter stated. “The concessions we secured will include an additional $10 billion in cuts to IRS mandatory funding (for a total of $20 billion), which was a key part of the 'Inflation Reduction Act' of democrats”.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is one of the House members who will not take up the bill.

“We're spending more money that we don't have,” Roy told CNN host Kaitlan Collins on Monday. “It's more of the same and, you know, I'd like Speaker Johnson [wasn’t] doing this I'm very disappointed and look forward to trying to figure out what we can do to change that in the next few days.”

On the show, he indicated that Johnson could suffer McCarthy's fate although Republicans really don't want to go back down that road.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) blasted the deal at X: “I am a NO on Johnson Schumer's budget deal. This $1.6 trillion budget deal does nothing to secure the border, stop the invasion, or stop the armed government that is 'targets Biden's political enemies and innocent Americans. So much for the power of the purse!'

The House Freedom Caucus also blasted the so-called bipartisan legislation: “It's even worse than we thought. Don't believe the spin. Once you get past the typical Washington math, the true level of programmatic spending is 1.658 trillion, not $1.59 trillion. This is a total failure.”

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton also let loose on the deal and issued a call to arms to X, “.@SpeakerJohnson just announced a plan with Democrats to fully RE-fund through 'continuing resolutions' Trump's tax abuse and other election rigging, Biden's border invasion, mass censorship, etc. Call Congress to let them know what you think: 202-225-3121.

The Tories are very unhappy with the deal that has been reached and there will be a serious pushback. But in the end, it looks like Americans will see more of the same crazy DC spending that has led to debilitating inflation hitting Americans.
