Fox's guests have been taken aback by Harris' stance on Israel

Fox contributor Ben Domenech and Democratic strategist Laura Fink clashed on Fox News Sunday as they discussed Vice President Kamala Harris' position on Israel.

Domenech and Fink appeared on “MediaBuzz” to discuss some of Harris' positions as her party's new presidential candidate, including her position on Israel. During the discussion, Fink addressed Harris' recent decision to skip Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress on Thursday and instead opted for a one-on-one meeting.

“But as for Netanyahu, you know, he chose to miss the speech, he chose to meet with him personally and lead the message from the White House on these issues. It shows that he has an embrace of the facts, that he has taken…” Fink said.

“A hug from the facts?” Domènech jumped.

Fink brushed off the Fox contributor as he tried to wrap up his statement by adding how Harris is “connected to voters” on the tension-filled “Palestine issue.”

“I'll finish, Ben. Just a statement. She has a command of the facts and is connected to voters on the Palestinian issue and works to get humanitarian aid and…” Fink said.

I WILL SEE:

“Yes, it's connected to voters burning the American flag in front of Union Station. I'm sorry, that's gross, that's absurd, that's ridiculous,” Domènech replied, referring to a pro-Palestine. protest which happened while Netanyahu was in the nation's capital. “God, are you serious? Are you serious?”

Fink could then be heard saying, “Oh, sweet mercy,” before telling Domenech he needed to “get control” of himself.

“Did he do it because he wanted to hug the people who are burning the American flag?” asked Domènech.

“I have to qualify it because he also made a statement…” Fox host Howard Kurtz said before Domenech yelled, “Yeah, a garbage statement!”

Following Netanyahu's response to lawmakers in Congress, the Israeli prime minister held two separate meetings with President Joe Biden and Harris to discuss the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian war. After the protest outside Union Station, Harris The next morning he released a statement condemning “any individual” associated with “the brutal terrorist organization Hamas” and the burning of the American flag.

“I condemn the burning of the American flag. This flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in this way,” Harris wrote. “I support the right to protest peacefully, but let's be clear: anti-Semitism, hatred and violence of any kind have no place in our nation.”
