Fox News' Brian Kilmeade Says JD Vance Is 'Probably Losing' Explaining 'Childless Cat Lady' Comments

Fox News' Brian Kilmeade said Monday that vice presidential candidate JD Vance is “probably losing” by explaining his scrutinized “cat lady” remarks.

Vance has come under fire for mocking a slew of Democratic women, including Vice President Kamala Harris, by calling them “a bunch of childless catwomen” during a 2021 interview on the Daily co-founder's former show Caller, Tucker Carlson, “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” ” warned Kilmeade Vance you are missing the point by explaining and drawing attention to your comment.

“I think he was on a podcast where he was asked [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s] statement that he said in the past that, you know, “I don't know if having kids with climate change in the turbulent world,” and that was his response, but Trey Gowdy brought up that he, about this story where they met two nuns, the greatest American women who love America,” Kilmeade said. “What about George Washington? I had never had children. Does that make him a bad American? And he went ahead and said, no, there are people who are trying to have children or don't want to have children and they are great Americans.”

“So he wants to explain himself. The question is, when you explain, you're usually losing, and that's all they want is for him to sit all the time and explain the comments. He does a lot of interviews, a lot of podcasts, he did a lot of publicity in 'Hillbilly Elegy,' in the movie and in the book. So they're going to go ahead with all of that,” he continued.

Vance defended his comments during a Sunday evening segment with Fox News' Trey Gowdy, where he said the political left took his statement “radically” out of context. The Ohio senator accused his political opponents of being “explicitly anti-child and anti-family,” arguing that having children is “the most selfless thing” a person can do.

“But there is a whole series of people who don't have children for many reasons. And they are undoubtedly great people who can fully participate in the life of this country. And that's not what I said, Trey. If you look at what the left has done, they've taken it radically out of context and actually aggressively lied about what I said,” Vance said Sunday.

“What I do think is true, Trey, and this goes to the heart of what I talked about three years ago in those comments, but it will be something that I will continue to talk about, is that the left has become more and more explicitly anti-child and anti-family,” the Ohio senator continued.

Harris' campaign, along with other Democrats, have stepped up their attacks on Vance by repeatedly calling him “weird.” California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell make sure CNN on Monday that Harris will not pick a running mate who is as “weird” as Vance.

“He [Vance] she absolutely cannot be vice president of the united states so anyone but her [Harris] the election will be much more qualified than a man who thinks that if you are a single, working woman in America, you should pay more taxes… So I don't think Kamala Harris will elect anyone that weird. and creepy like JD Vance,” Swalwell said.

The liberal media and the Democrats have done it accused Vance of believing women should stay in violent marriages, based on observations he made in 2022 about rising divorce rates. Vance assured voters he did not believe that belief and accused the left of twisting his words during a July 15 segment on Fox News' “Hannity.”
