Donald Trump is praising Tucker Carlson’s “BLOCKBUSTER” interview on Elon Musk’s “X” platform, which reached more than 150 million viewers Thursday morning and stole the spotlight from Fox News’ Republican presidential debate.
The former president’s 45-minute session on X, formerly known as Twitter, aired as his Republican rivals sparred on stage on a crucial night for the 2024 White House race.
The former president praised the success of the interview in a post on Truth Social Thursday morning: “Tucker Carlson’s interview with me was a BLOCKBUSTER. It could hit 200,000,000 views and more! Thank you! I hope everyone enjoyed it.”
Trump is preparing to turn himself in to a Georgia prison later Thursday on voter fraud charges and is expected to be mugged, a historic first for a former president.
The viewing figures are almost certain to dwarf the number of Americans who tuned in to Fox to watch Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy and the rest of the GOP camp go to battle to try and close the gap on the front-runner. The million views also included X users who scrolled past the video and didn’t tune in to the entire interview.
