Former Top DNC Official Says It's 'Sexism' To Suggest Harris 'Inherited' Dem Nomination

-

Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) vice chairman Michael Blake suggested during a CNN segment Monday that it's sexist to argue that Vice President Kamala Harris “inherited” the Democratic nomination.

Blake said Republicans are using “subtle sexism and nonsense” to attack Harris because he is up in the last national voting. Blake was responding to Jesse Hunt, the former communications director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, who argued during the segment that Harris “inherited” his campaign from President Joe Biden after he abandoned of the race on July 21.

“I think the Republicans are fighting because they know they have a disastrous ticket,” Blake told “CNN News Central.” “So her argument is that the vice president, as Jesse just said, inherited it. So there's a lot of subtle sexism and nonsense within those kinds of comments. She's the vice president. She was elected because if something happened to the president, he would step in. That's why there's this support around him.”

Blake said Harris will continue to build momentum throughout his campaign despite attacks from Republicans.

“And because of this alleged sugar concentration and the things they say are so concerning, as your own screen indicates, she is in the battleground states. So the reality is this: They can continue to have her nonsensical answers, and we'll continue to see people support Kamala Harris,” Blake continued.

Leftist members of the media have stood up concerns on Harris' candidacy arguing that the nation is too “sexist” and “racist” to elect her. Sunny Hostin, co-host of “The View.” he said on July 8 that she was “uncomfortable” with the idea of Harris being the Democratic nominee because she doesn't trust the American public to vote for a black woman.

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed on July 10 that Harris is an “underrated talent” because he would be performing in “a country that is sexist and racist.”

Harris' campaign and fellow Democrats have attacked Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance for mocking a slew of Democratic women, including Harris, as “childless cat ladies” in 2021. segment on the former Fox News show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Vance he said the comment has been twisted by the political left, who he accused of pushing anti-family values during an appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show” on July 26.

The media has more suggested Criticism of Harris has been racist, particularly in response to Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett calling she in “DEI [diversity, equity and inclusion] Vice President”.
