Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested today after being sentenced to three years in prison for allegedly selling state gifts.
The police have arrested Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in the eastern city of Lahore after a court sentenced him to three years in prison for illegally selling state gifts.
The 70-year-old cricketer-turned-politician was accused of abusing his position as prime minister from 2018 to 2022 to buy and sell state-owned gifts received during foreign visits and worth of over 140 million Pakistani rupees ($497,500). [Al Jazeera]
Like Trump, Khan is a beloved and overwhelmingly popular leader in Pakistan who was ousted from power by the Pakistani deep state, which has buried him in more than 130 trumped-up charges to prevent him from regaining office. However, the plot against Khan goes far beyond Pakistan’s borders. In one of Khan’s last two international interviews before his arrest, Revolver News’ Darren Beattie discussed with Khan the likely role of Biden administration officials, particularly notorious color revolution professional Victoria Nuland, in his expulsion.

President Trump, with whom Khan got along very well, has called out Victoria Nuland directly for her illegal involvement in disastrous regime change operations.
I’ve been on Nuland’s case for some time now as he is a key player in the regime change cabal of the American Color Revolution https://t.co/xbz91jbuBm

While Nuland works for Democratic administrations, her husband Robert Kagan is one of the intellectual architects of the Iraq war and was very close to the George W. Bush administration. Indeed, the bipartisan Nuland-Kagan marriage perfectly recapitulates the problem with the Washington Uniparty that Trump so profoundly disrupted in 2016.
The fate of the beloved populist leader Khan is just one more example of how the malicious, corrupt and stupid swamp creatures in Washington have made us less respected and less admired around the world.
We are praying for Khan and for Pakistan, and are following this unfolding story closely.
