Footage shows Trump's shooter opening fire, being killed by a sniper team

-

Witnesses captured the harrowing moments leading up to and after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and raised questions about why the threat wasn't neutralized sooner.

On Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, as the stricken president scrambled for cover and his U.S. Secret Service detail rushed to protect him, rooftop snipers could be seen taking action to take out the suspect, who has been identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel. Park, Pennsylvania

However, images of Trump's defense weren't the only ones making the rounds on the internet, as a video was captured of the alleged assassin reportedly opening fire.

video obtained per TMZ rally attendee Mike Difrischia focused on the suspect before moving on as gunshots rang out, killing one attendee and injuring two other bystanders, in addition to the wound in the ear of the president.

This image was juxtaposed video of the crowd posted by Nico Mitchell showing the protective detail apparently engaged with the suspect as panic swept through the rally.

This publication's comment was challenged when snipers had detected the threat to the president, but not as much as the testimony of a witness speaking to BBC News reporter Gary O'Donoghue.

In a video later shared by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk with the caption: “The head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security detail should resign,” a man wearing a Trump 2020 visor with a “4 ” drawn over the “0”. he explained how he and others and allegedly saw the suspect move into position and had tried unsuccessfully to alert authorities.

“We noticed a guy crawling… a bear crawling on the roof of the building next to us, 50 feet away from us. So we're there… you know we're pointing at the guy crawling on the roof,” the man said as O'Donoghue asked: “And he had a gun, didn't he?”

“He had a rifle. We could clearly see him with a rifle, absolutely. We point him out. The police are down there running around on the ground. We're like, 'Hey man, there's a guy on the roof with a rifle.' And the police he said, 'Hey?'

The man also pointed out how they were aiming for the roof from where the suspect was said to have fired, believing that the protective detail that neutralized the threat could see them, but had also been ineffective in stopping the attempt of murder

While Musk had also announced his full support for Trump on Saturday shortly after the tragedy, others added to concerns about how security was handled, as an image captured confirmation that the suspect had been taken out with the caption : “The photo of the Secret Service approaching the shooter on the rooftop is confirmed. This confirms that the Secret Service let a man up on a roof with a rifle and DID NOTHING.”
