The case began Friday evening when deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a domestic disturbance near Sulpizio's home.
A subsequent call indicated Sulpizio was behaving aggressively toward neighbors. Sheriff Peyton Grinnell explained that Sulpizio was accusing his neighbors of sin and claiming he knew “what they did.”
Deputies approached Sulpizio, who made references to cheating on someone named “Lucy,” which was later identified as his name for Lucifer. Suspicious of his behavior, the deputies decided to carry out a welfare check.
Upon arriving at Sulpizio's home, officers discovered two dead dogs and an open window with a broken screen. A backup has been requested.
When Deputies Link and Harold Howell entered the residence, they were ambushed by Sulpizio's husband, who opened fire. Deputy Link was trapped and suffered multiple gunshot wounds before a SWAT team managed to rescue Howell.
Inside the home, police found Sulpizio's husband and two daughters, who were reportedly planning to kill themselves. The daughters allegedly shouted, “My king will kill you all! You are Lucifer's children!” before being found dead from gunshot wounds, according to body camera footage.
Sulpizio, who is currently being held without bond, was taken into custody Monday afternoon at Advent Health Waterman Hospital where she was receiving treatment and evaluation.

A devastating incident unfolded in Lake County, Florida, when a brave sheriff's deputy lost his life and two others were injured in what the sheriff described as a deliberate “ambush” at a residence in Eustis.
The incident unfolded Friday evening, prompting a quick response from law enforcement to the scene on Brookside Drive.
Lake County Sheriff Peyton C. Grinnell detailed the chilling events at a press conference early Saturday. “They were ambushed,” Grinnell stated grimly. “We lost one tonight.”
Deputies had arrived at approximately 8:00 p.m., responding to reports of a disturbance. When they entered the house, the violence escalated sharply.
The first officer to enter the home was immediately shot and trapped inside, eventually succumbing to his injuries.
In a desperate attempt to rescue his colleague, two more deputies were shot; one suffered injuries to his armpit and stomach and is now in critical condition, while the other was hit in the shoulder and is in a stable condition.
Inside the home, authorities discovered two people dead, although it is still unclear whether their deaths were the result of actions taken by deputies or a murder-suicide scenario.
An additional person at the scene was hospitalized, although details of their condition or involvement are not yet clear.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has begun an investigation to determine the sequence of events that led to this fatal encounter.
