If President Joe Biden's fate is left up to Senate Democrats, he could face the same fate as Roman Emperor Julius Caesar — figuratively, of course, with few friends other than fellow Pennsylvanian Sen. John Fetterman .
The geriatric leader is under intense pressure to pull out of the race after his CNN debate disaster, and while he's trying to bounce back with gimmicks like his “big boy” presser, the knives are still out they are out
In a grim omen for the 81-year-old and his family, his support in the upper house is pretty much limited to his staunch ally Fetterman and a handful of others.
In an inside look at how the tide has now turned against Biden, Politico dish scoop on a lunch meeting with Biden campaign staffers Mike Donilon, Jen O'Malley Dillon and Steve Ricchetti that took place on Thursday and to say things didn't go well would be a huge understatement.
Citing the usual set of unnamed sources in “five people familiar with the meeting,” the outlet described the meeting as allowing senators to voice their concerns “about the president's ability to serve another four years, his path to defeat former President Donald Trump and the effect Biden's poor polls could have on Democrats running for the ballot.”
According to Politico, “But by the end of the luncheon, Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania had had enough.”
“You also have legacies,” the hooded galoot said, according to sources, “if you screw up a great president for a bad debate.”
Fetterman then asked, “Who was with him, committed to sticking with Biden as the party's nominee?” The politician has reported.
You could count the number on one hand and still have your fingers.
Only Fetterman, Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-MO) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) of Biden's home state of Delaware thought the embattled president should stay in the race.
While Biden is far from a likable character deserving of support, Fetterman's loyalty is admirable considering how all the self-serving Dems supported the president when it was convenient for them, but now they're throwing him to the wolves.
And it will also be in the Biden hole until the bitter end:
Democrats, stop worrying about Joe Biden's legacy and think about yours.
Dumping a great president after a tough debate or getting with the only person who has ever kicked Trump's ass.
Everyone has to choose, but we're headed for assured mutual destruction if we don't cut the crap.

“Democrats, stop worrying about Joe Biden's legacy and think about yours. Dump a great president after a tough debate or stick with the only person who has ever dusted Trump's *ss.” said Fetterman in a Saturday post on X. “Everybody has to make a choice, but we're headed for certain mutual destruction if you don't cut the shit.”
“Not a single person has come up to me as a Democrat and said, 'Joe Biden, we've got to get rid of Joe,'” Fetterman. he said CNN's Kaitlan Collins during an appearance Friday. “Regular Pennsylvanians are excited about Joe Biden, and I witnessed that when I was in Philadelphia last week.
