During a recent segment on Newsmax, Carl Higbie exposed a troubling pattern of suspicious donations to Democratic campaigns, suggesting a possible large-scale operation funneling untraceable money. Higbie's investigation, fueled by data from Election Watch and the Federal Election Commission (FEC), uncovered thousands of small donations that raise serious questions about their legitimacy.
“The measure in politics, unfortunately, is how much money you've raised,” Higbie began. “Ironically, it's also the easiest to track. So we did, and holy rusty metal Batman, a bunch of people found a bunch of stuff that doesn't seem to add up to where and how that money goes into Democrat coffers.”

According to Higbie, more than $200 million in political donations have been funneled through ActBlue, the Democrats' fundraising platform, from a small group of individuals, mostly over 65, retirees and low and middle income. “Based on our research, it appears that these people, the majority, do not even know that these donations are being made in their name. It’s not their money,” he said.
Higbie detailed the process, explaining how these individuals, called “smurfs” or “money mules,” have their identities cloned or stolen in order to make multiple donations from an unknown source. “This is all publicly available information from state and federal websites that are very easy to verify. If you want to look them up.”
He shared specific examples, including a 74-year-old Louisiana woman who allegedly donated $573,447 through 1,400 transactions, averaging $76 per donation. “On certain days like October 16, 2018, she or someone using her identity made 71 individual transactions totaling $3,145. Folks, that would mean she should have made more than five donations per hour if I had to sleep eight hours a night.”
Higbie went on to another case from California, where a 72-year-old woman allegedly made 52,501 donations totaling $884,152 over 700 days. “Every day since 2017, and you can see the data right there, he's made at least one donation ranging from $10 to $100 a day. In one day, making 1,080 donations for a total of $20,879 in one day. That's 68 donations per hour, more than one per minute if true”, he remarked.
Also highlighted was a 75-year-old woman from Louisiana who made 5,670 donations totaling $127,375 in 358 days. “In one day, October 4, 2022, he made 555 donations totaling more than $13,000. Some of these transactions are for just a few dollars, and hundreds of them were returned, which raises even more suspicion.”
Higbie emphasized the broader implications, stating, “These are just three of the 1,000s of these kinds of transactions that are being made to the Democrats in the election press release. Look they note that the top 10 of these mules of money in Michigan they made $125,122 in contributions, not total dollar contributions, 120,000 in Arizona, one person, 18,672 individual contributions from Louisiana more than the value of their house. In Maryland, the top 32 money mules gave a combined $5.5 million. People, if 32 people gave that much money, they would all be known political circles as cash cows for every campaign, but they're not. In fact, there's almost no information about them anywhere other than the municipal tax records we've dug up.”
He called for a thorough investigation, stating: “Whoever is choreographing this volume is doing it with such small donations because they thought they wouldn't be flagged by FEC guards and officials. The way we were called out by the attention was not for the dollar amount, but for the number of donations per person. That's where they got involved. But my question is, if these people the names that appear in the FBC report do not donations, who is where the money comes from?”
Higbie concluded by highlighting the potential risk to national security, stating, “We can have all the voter ID laws we want, but if hundreds of millions of dollars come in to influence our elections, and we don't know from whom , not only is it a serious violation of election laws, it is an enormous risk to national security.”
As Higbie pointed out, 52 complaints have been filed in Wisconsin alone, but Democrats have refused to add those complaints to the agenda items for the corresponding meetings. “The Democrats should be fine with an investigation into this, but their silence is deafening. When I tell you the Democrats are a machine, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about.”
