FBI Dismisses Congress’ Subpoena for File on Biden Bribes, Issues Shocking Letter Instead

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has dismissed the subpoena issued by Congress to obtain its files on former Vice President Joe Biden’s alleged bribes in Ukraine. Instead, the FBI has issued a shocking letter in what seems to be an attempt to clear the air and protect the integrity of its investigation.

The subpoena was issued by Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley. Johnson and Grassley are investigating allegations that Biden and his son Hunter, who served on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, engaged in corrupt activities while Biden was the vice president.

However, the FBI’s response was unexpected. In its letter to Johnson and Grassley, the FBI stated that “consistent with long-standing Department of Justice and FBI policy, we cannot confirm or deny the existence of any ongoing investigation, or of any specific investigative steps or tools that may have been employed.”

The letter further added that “any further questions about active investigations should be directed to the Department of Justice.” This move by the FBI to decline the subpoena and issue a letter instead indicates that the bureau is unwilling to hand over its files on the matter.

The Biden campaign has long rejected the allegations of corruption, stating that they are part of a broader smear campaign by President Donald Trump, who has been accused of soliciting foreign interference in the upcoming 2020 election. However, the investigation into the Bidens has gained steam in recent months, with multiple investigations underway and a growing number of lawmakers calling for more transparency.

The FBI’s letter raises more questions than it answers, and it’s unclear what it means for the ongoing investigation into the Bidens. However, it’s clear that the bureau is taking steps to protect the integrity of its investigation and is unwilling to share any information that could compromise its findings.

It remains to be seen what actions Johnson and Grassley will take in response to the FBI’s letter. However, the FBI’s decision not to comply with the subpoena is a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the Bidens’ alleged corruption and adds yet another layer of complexity to an already contentious political landscape.
